Enzo Amore recently called out All Elite Wrestling (AEW) for mishandling backstage altercations between talents while discussing his own backstage issues in WWE. During a conversation with Maven, Amore commented on Heath Slater’s recent narration of the events that led to Enzo’s physical altercation with Curtis Axel on a WWE bus.

Slater claimed that it all started when Axel threw Enzo’s speakers. He tried to apologize, but a fight ultimately ensued, with both wrestlers trading punches. Enzo didn’t get into his version of events, stating that he is not a fan of publicly discussing what goes on between wrestlers inside the locker room.

Amore added that he also had altercations with other talents backstage, but no one knows about them, as they were never made public. He said that backstage issues in WWE are dealt with then and there, unlike in AEW, where issues behind closed doors often tend to make headlines. Here’s what he said:

On his backstage altercations and how WWE generally handles issues between talent

“That’s funny, man! And I never heard anybody talk about that incident ever. I didn’t know it was out there. And tell us about it. I’m not a d*ck! I’m just a really good guy. But you take my kindness for weakness; I immediately throw hands.

“Hey, bro, I had to fight. I took it. I had to fight for everything I got. I didn’t get where the f*ck I got being some pushover slump. Never. When s*it hit the fan backstage or when I had to go walk into a room and talk to Vince McMahon one-on-one or I had to go talk to Hunter one-on-one, those conversations stayed there. And with the boys, the same s*it. If I fought, if I fist-fought another guy in the locker room, you probably never heard it because I probably f*king won, right? I appreciate that. What happens in the WWE locker room as far as fist fights never left.”

Enzo Amore on how AEW handles backstage issues

“F*ck AEW for all the b*tch a** fighting that they do over there and letting it l*ak and s*it. It wasn’t that way when I was there. A few legendary, a certain level of, we are some bad a*ses that you got to keep some credibility in that locker room.”
