On the latest episode of 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff agreed that the wrestling business has cooled since its recent high. Bischoff pinpointed WrestleMania 41 as the peak — while cautioning fans not to overanalyze the dip. You can check out some highlights below:

On Wrestling Peaking:

“Do I agree that we peaked out in terms of enthusiasm and excitement, engagement, all things measurable, for last year’s WrestleMania? Absolutely. When you look at everything leading up to it over the couple of years before — including the controversy, the Janel Grant stuff, the TKO stuff, the merger, the acquisition — there was a lot of drama and controversy that created a lot of cash and enthusiasm leading up to last year’s WrestleMania. And what has happened since then? Things have kind of settled down.”

On Not Wanting It Overanalyzed:

“I think we tend to overanalyze and overreact to it. Because we want engagement, and I’m throwing myself into this bucket — we’re doing it right now. My position is don’t sweat it, don’t overanalyze it. Most of the people analyzing it couldn’t find their ass with both hands and a compass. So rather than worrying about it and debating something you don’t understand, just go, ‘Yeah, it’s not as good as it was last year, but I look forward to what it might be this year or next year.’ It is what it is.”
