Fallon Henley Captures Vacant Women’s Speed Title At WWE NXT Gold Rush

Fallon Henley needed sudden death to do it, but she became the new Women’s Speed Champion at WWE NXT Gold Rush week two. Henley defeated Zaria on Tuesday night’s show to win the vacant title. The match was the finals of a tournament to crown a new champion after Sol Ruca vacated it due to injury.
Zaria and Henley battled back and forth for the full five minute time limit without a winner. Ava then came out and said that a champion would be determined, declaring a sudden death time period. The sudden death period saw Zaria get close, but Lainey Reid saved Fallon from a charge into the ringsteps on the outside. Back in the ring, Henley hit a Shining Wizard and a Fameasser for the three count.
It marks Fallon Henley’s first run with the title, and her first title since she lost the NXT Women’s North American Championship in February.
You can see highlights from the match below. Fatal Influence now holds two titles, with Jacy Jayne the NXT Women’s Champion.
