First Matches Official For AEW Full Gear

AEW has announced the first few matches for AEW Full Gear, making them official on this week’s AEW Dynamite. It was announced on Wednesday night’s show that Wrathlander will get their AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship match against The Brawling Birds at Full Gear. Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale beat the Sisters of Sin and Divine Dominion to secure the title shot that they were originally supposed to get at AEW WrestleDream before Jamie Hayter was pulled due to not being cleared.

In addition, it was announced that Mark Davis and Jake Doyle will get their shot at The Young Bucks at Full Gear. The two crushed the Bucks in a title eliminator on Dynamite.

Among the not-yet-confirmed matches, Swerve Strickland asked for a rematch for him and The New Level against Hangman Page and Brodido for the AEW World Trios Championships they lost at WrestleDream. Page agreed, but turned down Strickland’s proposal to make it a Texas Deathmatch. The Trios Title match has yet to be officially announced as set.

And finally, Mercedes Mone cut a promo in the ring asking who was next for her. Marina Shafir came out to the ring and stepped up, challenging Mone to a title match. That match has not been made official, and it was not specifically noted to be for Full Gear as of yet.
