FTR’s Cash Wheeler Reacts to The New Day Leaving WWE

The pro wrestling world was absolutely rocked with today’s news of The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) parting ways with WWE, and multiple stars in AEW are taking note. MJF and Ricochet already shared their reactions, and now AEW Tag Team Champion Cash Wheeler of FTR has also commented on the development.
Cash Wheeler wrote earlier today on his X account (see below), “Cot Damn. It’s a New Day.” Perhaps The New Day might join AEW and renew the team’s past rivalry with FTR (formerly The Revival).
The two teams formerly faced off for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles in a Ladder Match at WWE TLC 2019. The New Day (Big E & Kingston) were victorious in the matchup, retaining their titles.
Following the news about New Day leaving WWE, it was reported by Fightful Select that major names in AEW were already pushing for the duo. Also, PWInsider reported that there was major excitement in AEW circles about the group potentially joining the company.
Kingston and Woods still have 90 days before they will be unrestricted free agents and able to wrestle elsewhere.
