Gunther, Jey Uso & More Announce They’re Entering Men’s Royal Rumble Match On WWE Raw

Gunther, Jey Uso, Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and Penta are headed to the WWE Royal Rumble, with the five men separately declaring that they’re entering the men’s Rumble match on this week’s WWE Raw. Monday’s episode of Raw saw the quintet variously announce that they have declared themselves for the match at this month’s big PPV.

Gunther made the declaration during an in-ring promo segment, with Jey Uso doing the same later in the show from the audience. Mysterio announced in an interview segment with Cathy Kelley that he, Lee, & Penta were all entering the match as well.

The five join Cody Rhodes as confirmed stars for the men’s Rumble match. Rhodes declared on Friday’s episode of WWE Smackdown during an in-ring promo that he was going to enter the men’s Rumble in his quest to earn a match at WrestleMania and get back his Undisputed WWE Championship, as he does not have an automatic rematch for the title.

The WWE Royal Rumble takes place on January 31st from KAFD in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The show will air live on the ESPN App domestically and on Netflix for international viewers. We’ll have a fully updated card for the Royal Rumble following the conclusion of tonight’s WWE Raw.
