Hank & Tank Advance In Dusty Rhodes Classic On WWE NXT

Hank & Tank have moved onto the second round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with a victory on this week’s WWE NXT. Tuesday night’s show included a first-round match in the tournament as the two battled WWE Evolve’s Shido Ash and Viktor Zanov.

The 9 minute-plus match saw Ash and Zanov test their Judo Olympic skills against the NXT veterans’ power offense, with plenty of back and forth between the two teams. Hank ended up isolated in the ring at one point after Tank got knocked off the apron, but he was able to mount a comeback, dodging a shot from Zanov and giving Tank the hot tag. The finish came a few minutes later when the Hank & Tank took out Zanov with a battering ram and isolated Ash, taking him down with an elbow strike and powerslam sequence for the pinfall.

You can see a clip from the WWE NXT match below. Hank & Tank will now take on the Creed Brothers, who defeated Harley Riggins and Jax Presley in their first-round match.
