Pro Wrestling ZERO1 showed an image of the wrestler Hayabusa, visiting the grave of the original Hayabuza, the late Eiji Ezaki. Hayabusa is the second-generation version of the character Ezaki originally portrayed. Ezaki sadly passed away in 2016 at the age of 48.
Per ZERO1 Wrestling, the new Hayabusa and GM Megumi Kudo visited the grave of Ezaki to pay their respects. The message on X reads (via Google Translate), “As the one who has inherited both the ring name and the soul, we report that they joined their hands in gratitude and determination. Going forward, together with the feelings of the previous generation, Hayabusa will continue to soar in the ring. We sincerely ask for your continued support. #pwzero1 #HayabusaForever”
As noted, Pro Wrestling ZERO1 revived the character with a new performer in the role last year.
