Himanshu’s TNA Impact Review 8.28.25  

Hey there, TNA fans! It’s Thursday, and that means it’s time for another episode of TNA iMPACT! I’m Himanshu (you can follow me on Twitter @Himanshu_Doi) and you know how this works. Tonight on iMPACT, Ash By Elegance returns to the iMPACT! Zone for the first time since her victory at WWE Heatwave, Trick Williams collides with A.J. Francis at his side with Santana and TNA International Champion Steve Maclin, Leon Slater and Cedric Alexander face their biggest challenge yet against TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys, The IInspiration clash with NXT’s Fatal Influence for the first time, Myron Reed and Eric Young meet one-on-one, Mara Sadé looks to make a name for herself at Tasha Steelz’s expense and more. So, let’s jump right in!

Santana’s music hits and he makes his entrance through the crowd.

Match 1: Trick Williams & A.J. Francis vs. Mike Santana and Steve Maclin

Maclin hits an Olympic Slam. AJ Francis throws Maclin off the top rope. Francis chokes Maclin against the ropes. Maclin tries to fight but Francis whips him into the corner. Francis hits a Tennessee Whiskey. Trick Williams tags in and hits a flapjack. Maclin with the hot tag to Santana who hits a clothesline to Trick Williams. Williams with a pump kick and Santana hits the Rolling Buck 50 for two. Santana hits a Death Valley Driver for a cover, but Francis breaks it up. Trick Williams goes for a Trick Shot, but Santana rolls him up for the win.

Result: Mike Santana and Steve Maclin def. Trick Williams & A.J. Francis by pinfall

Gia Miller is backstage with Cedric Alexander and Leon Slater. Cedric said Leon Slater gained his respect. Leon said the reason he is what he is, is because of The Hardys so he is torn.

Match 2: Eric Young vs. Myron Reed

Reed picks up Young on his shoulders but Young rakes his eye. Young hits a Death Valley Driver for two. A man in a ski mask is seen in the crowd holding up a sign saying, “A cleanse is coming”. Reed hits a Stundog Millionaire. Young hits a bodyslam and goes for a moonsault but Reed moves out of the way. Reed hits a leg drop against the back of the neck. Reed hits a draping F5. Reed hits a slingshot leg drop to Young hanging on to the middle rope for two. Young hits a powerslam for two. Young teases hitting the referee. Young hits a low blow when the referee isn’t looking and hits a piledriver for the win.

We see highlights of the Knockouts Gauntlet from last week.

Dani Luna says she had time to think about it. She says it may or may not have been the right thing, but the whole world is talking about it. She says when it was her chance, Indi Hartwell takes it away from her. She says trying just isn’t good enough. She says Dani Luna is out of limbo.

We see Ava’s announcement of Xia Brookside competing for the Speed Championship.

Ash by Elegance is backstage with the Elegance Brand and says she beat Jacy and Masha and saved TNA. She says the entire company should be thanking her. She says they have officially entered the Elegance era. She says she wants a celebration celebrating her. She says she is the saviour of TNA.

Match 3: Jazmyn Nyx & Fallon Henley vs. Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay

Jazmyn and Fallon team up for a flapjack on Cassie for two. Jessie gets the tag and cleans house. Henley throws Jessie out of the ring and Cassie hits a spinning heel kick. Jessie gets the tag and they team up on Jazmyn for the win.

Result: Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay def. Jazmyn Nyx & Fallon Henley by pinfall

Time for the TNA Injury Report presented by Bioflex, and JDC is out of action due to head injury, the Hardys, Leon Slater and Cedric Alexander are all cleared.

Trick Williams is on the phone and says he was attacked after the bell. He calls them ASAP.

Ryan Nemeth gets in the ring and says his big brother is returning to TNA next week. Alisha says everyone wants him to shut up. Eddie Edwards chops him and says the match is happening right now.

Match 4: Ryan Nemeth vs. Eddie Edwards

Nemeth stomps down on Edwards. Nemeth with a closed fist to the head for two. Nemeth hits a neckbreaker for two. Nemeth challenges Alisha to slap him. Nemeth turns around and Edwards takes him down. Edwards goes for a Backpack Stunner but Stunner rakes his eyes. Edwards hits a Tiger Bomb followed by the Boston Knee Party for the win.

Result: Eddie Edwards def. Ryan Nemeth by pinfall

Gia Miller walks up backstage to Indi Hartwell and asks her about Dani Luna attacking her last week. Indi says she is not mad, she is disappointed. She says she believed in Dani. She says she will not back down. Santino Marella walks up to her and says next week it is her vs. Jody Threat for the No. 1 contendership. Dani Luna walks up to them and says she lasted the whole Gauntlet. She asks Dani Luna to the match. Santino Marella says it will be a triple threat.

Eric Young is backstage and says maybe he is the only one seeing things clearly. He says a cleanse is coming and he tried to warn everybody, even Joe. We see Joe Hendry laid out.

Match 5: Tasha Steelz vs. Mara Sadè

Jason Hotch trips up Sadè. Sadè hits a Missile Dropkick for two.

Result: Mara Sadè def. Tasha Steelz by pinfall

Match 6: The Hardys vs. Cedric Alexander & Leon Slater

Matt Hardy hits a Twist of Fate on Leon Slater. Jeff Hardy gets the tag and goes for a Swanton Bomb but Cedric Alexander pulls him out of the way. Cedric takes the tag and targets Jeff’s back. Cedric tags to Leon who hits a dropkick followed by a crossover splash for two. Leon with a chinlock but Jeff fights out of it. Leon with a splash in the corner and tags to Cedric who hits a dropkick to a seated Jeff for two. Leon gets the tag and hits a jumping kick to Jeff followed by another chinlock as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial and Matt Hardy smashes Cedric and Leon’s faces into the turnbuckle followed by a Side Effect and Elbow Drop for two. Cedric hits a Dragon Screw for two. Matt pushes Cedric into Leon on the top rope. The Hardys hits the Plot Twist followed by a splash by Jeff for a cover but Leon breaks it up. Leon takes the tag and goes to the top rope for a Swanton 450. Leon counters the Plot Twist for a Twist of Slate. Leon goes to the top rope and hits for a Swanton 450 but Jeff moves out of the way. Cedric hits a Flatliner on Jeff for two. Cedric goes for a Lumbar Check but Jeff fights out of it and Matt hits the Twist of Fate followed by a Swanton Bomb by Jeff for the win.

Result: The Hardys def. Cedric Alexander & Leon Slater by pinfall

After the match, they all hug each other and raise each other’s hands.

Trick Williams hobbles out to the ring. He says he was brutally attacked and a lot of them cheered Mike Santana. He says this place is a crime scene. He says that is why he brought his lawyer Michael O’Shea. He says these are unsafe and unfit working conditions. Santino Marella gets in the ring. Trick Williams’ lawyer says he will adhere to the contract. Santino Marella turns around, wears his glove and hits the Cobra on the lawyer. Trick Williams gets out of the ring and leaves.
