Hiromu Takahashi is reportedly being discussed internally as a potential name for WWE NXT, according to a new report from Fightful Select. The report stated that Takahashi is considered “the big rumored one” among current free agents or wrestlers who could soon become available and land on WWE’s radar.

Takahashi has long been one of the most recognizable names in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, particularly in the junior heavyweight division. Over the years, he has built a reputation for high-energy matches, unpredictable character work, and several major title runs in NJPW.

Sean Ross Sapp also described the idea of Hiromu Takahashi joining NXT as a “no brainer,” while acknowledging the ongoing debate surrounding whether a wrestler with his international reputation and experience would actually need a developmental stop before appearing on WWE’s main roster.

At this stage, the situation remains speculative. There has been no official confirmation that Takahashi has signed with WWE or agreed to join NXT. The Fightful report also mentioned Nikki Blackheart as another talent expected to be viewed internally as a possible addition to NXT. However, no additional names were reportedly identified as possible WWE signings in the same update.

The possibility of Takahashi appearing in WWE would likely generate significant attention among audiences for both WWE and NJPW, given his popularity and in-ring reputation.
