Impact Wrestling’s KM recently spoke with WrestleZone’s Lovell Porter, discussing Alberto El Patron, his match on the indies against Butterbean, and more…

On his match on the Indies against Butterbean: It wasn’t a real match. It was pretty terrible they put the belt on him to get some publicity and nobody cared. They had to take the belt off of him at the next show. Even going over the match with him I asked him what he wants to do out there and how long he wants to go. He (Butterbean) looked at a fake watch on his wrist and asked if it was over yet. The match was like 30 seconds long. It was what it was. He is a cool dude though. The match was garbage.

On being a huge MMA fan and getting to join up with American Top Team during the Bobby Lashley/Moose feud: Well, they put me with American Top Team because they (Impact management) knows I am such a huge MMA fan. They knew I would get a kick out of it and it would flow naturally. IT was a storyline on TV, but it really wasn’t. It’s been months since that was filmed but I was just at UFC this past weekend with Colby Covington. So, I hang out with American Top Team, I go to all the shows. We are all friends now.

On Alberto El Patron no showing the big Impact vs Lucha Underground event: I wasn’t there. I was in Alaska at the time, so I found out about this the same way everyone else did via the internet. I still don’t know the exact story. When it comes to El Patron, who knows. I may go to the tapings next week an see him there. I have no idea. What I do know is a guy like me is being left off PPV and I’m watching guys like him show up get these big paychecks, leave, come back, then leave again. I’m still here. I’m sure if it’s not El Patron it will be someone else. At the end of the day, everyone will be talking about me. I’m going to outlast all of these guys. I’m going to be sitting on the top of the hill. You’ll see. I’m predicting that right now.

On why Impact Wrestling is surging like it hasn’t before: You know what I’m going to say. Come on! I tweet it every single week. It’s not even a coincidence. If you actually look at the numbers… It sounds like I’m lying but I’m not. If you look at the highest rated segments or the top five I am in all of them. Facts don’t lie. Those are facts. You can say oh, it was Johnny Impact or oh it was El Patron but when they aren’t on and I still am the numbers still go up. I say it all the time. It is no longer Impact Wrestling. It’s KiMpact Wrestling. I’m so big they need to rename it. They have changed the name 20 times, before right? Change it one more time. BOOM there’s your money!
