Indian WWE Recruits Jeet Rama and Kishan Raftar Want to Face Brock Lesnar, Talk Triple H vs. Jinder Mahal
WWE’s Indian talents from the WWE Performance Center Jeet Rama and Kishan Raftar spoke with Sportskeeda for a new interview ahead of their match at the live event in New Delhi last night, discussing their dream opponent in WWE and more. Highlights are below:
On their planning for The Miztourage vs. their match with American Alpha last year:
Raftar: “I’ll tell you what won’t be different. The result.”
Rama: (Laughs) “That’s right. See, every wrestler has a different style. American Alpha had a different style, and our current opponents have a unique style of their own. But our style is unique too. So, the bottom line is that the result will remain the same.”
On their dream opponent:
Kishan Raftar: “My dream opponent is whoever has the belt. I think ‘Pahalwan Ji’ (Jeet Rama) feels the same.”
Jeet Rama: “Yes, that’s right. Whoever has the championship is our dream opponent. The fun’s always in defeating the champion.”
On if they’d prefer to face AJ Styles or Brock Lesnar:
Kishan Raftar: “I would prefer Brock Lesnar.”
Jeet Rama: “Me too. Brock Lesnar.”
Raftar on Kavita Devi: “She has a great opportunity. Being the first woman wrestler from India is a very big deal. If she works hard, she’ll go a long way.”
On the Triple H vs. Jinder Mahal match
Kishan Raftar: I think it’s going to be a very tough match and I’m definitely with Jinder Mahal, because he’s Indian.”
Jeet Rama: Let’s see what happens. We’re with Jinder Mahal, all the way.”
Raftar on whether he knew Jason Jordan was Kurt Angle’s “son” when they faced American Alpha last year: [laughs] “No, it was a mystery.”
