IWA Puerto Rico Results from Levitown, PR on September 20 2008

–IWA Puerto Rican Title
Hardam Kadaffi defeats El Niche by pinfall after Zaer Arafat switches places with Kadaffi and pins Niche. Kadaffi retains the title. Niche is livid when he realizes that the heels had tricked him and picks up a slab of metal and heads backstage. I guess something was taped for TV backstage involving Niche and The Arabians.

– Black Rose defeats La Morena by pinfall. Rose then demands a title shot at IWA Women’s Champion Genesis.

– The IWA World Champion Blitz comes out for the talky talky segment of the night. He basically runs down Savio Vega and Joe Bravo, which lead to these men coming out and demanding that Blitz give Bravo a rematch. Chicano comes out and demands a title shot as well. Bravo mentions that Chicano attacked Blitz with a chair last week on purpose, but Chicano says that he was trying to protect Blitz from Bravo’s interference. Blitz says that he trusts no one but himself and leaves.

–IWA World Tag Team Titles:
La Cruzz del Diablo (Cruzz & Diabolico) defeat The Faces of Fear (Spectro and Giant Manson, no Ramstein tonight) by pinfall when Manson walks out of Spectro and leaves him alone. Spectro is beaten. I guess that the Faces of Fear stable is breaking up, with Manson loyal to Savio Vega and Spectro and Ramstein on their own. BECAUSE NO ONE GETS ALONG IN IWA! Russo-rific!

–Grudge Match:
El Bacano defeats Onix by pinfall when he puts both feet on the ropes during the pinfall. To recap, Bacano turned on Vengador Boricua last week and Vengador’s little buddy Onix came out to save him and it all lead to this match. By the way, Onix is the Cruiserweight Champion and well, it seems IWA forgot about the belt.

– Grudge Match:
KC James defeats Noel Rodriguez by pinfall when he nails Noel with the Loaded Boot. Dennis Rivera then tries to attack KC, but he manages to escape. To recap, KC was a hired goon of Savio some years ago, he got signed by the WWE and IWA wrote him off the storylines with Savio and his group breaking his arm. After some time in WWE as both, KC James and later on as James Curtis, KC got fired and came back looking for revenge. He got revenge by targeting Savio’s tag team champions, Dennis and Noel and broke Rivera’s wrist with the loaded boot, in addition to helping Cruzz and Diabolico win the titles from them. This is one of the best storylines going right now and I am surprised at the good continuity.

– #1 Contender at the IWA World Title:
“The Illegal” Chicano defeats “The Golden Latino” Joe Bravo by DQ when Blitz returns the favor from last week and interferes in the match, nailing Chicano with a chair. The promoter (Edwin Vazquez, but everyone calls him “the promoter” on TV) comes out and makes an immediate rematch between Chicano and Bravo for next week, where there must be a winner and whoever interferes will be suspended for one year.

– Miguel Perez & “The Heartbreaker” Romeo defeat Richard Rondon & “The Rebel” Chris Joel by pinfall when Romeo nails Joel with a set of brass knuckles and pins him.

– For Panama’s RXW World Title:
“The Buffalo” Bison Smith defeats Savio Vega by DQ . Very bloody brawl, KC James runs in and nails Savio with the Loaded Boot behind the ref’s back, but Savio kicks out at two! (What a way to bury his gimmick. Come on Savio, everyone sells that as death and you kick out?). Bison prepares to nail Savio with the Bisontennial, but Noel Rodriguez, Miguel Perez and Romeo run in for the DQ. Richard Rondon and El Niche try to make the save, but are stopped. KC cleans house with the loaded boot, but Dennis Rivera attacks him from behind and nails him with the cast he has in his arm. They demolish KC and leave him bloodied and battered.
