Iyo Sky Shares Tribute to Hiroshi Tanahashi Following His Retirement Match

As previously reported, Hiroshi Tanahashi wrestled his final match earlier today, losing to Kazuchika Okada in the main event of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 at the Tokyo Dome. Since then, many wrestlers from across the industry have been chiming in with their tributes to Tanahashi, including all-time WWE GOAT John Cena. WWE Superstar and former Women’s Champion Iyo Sky also shared a tribute to Hiroshi Tanahashi via social media.

Iyo Sky wrote, “You have given wonderful influence to a tremendous number of pro wrestlers. I am one of them. The title of “Etsujo” (逸女) bestowed upon me by Issai during our discussion 11 years ago is a treasure for my lifetime!” She added, “January 4, 2026 #TanahashiRetirement Cheering you on from America, GO!! ACE!!!!!✨✨✨✨”
