Jade Cargill Weighs In On Fan Encounters Over WrestleMania Weekend

There was a lot of discussion about WWE talent dealing with fan encounters over WrestleMania weekend, something Jade Cargill touched on after the PLE. As has been covered, there were a number of incidents in which talent had to deal with disrespectful fans, exacerbated by the fact that the WWE talent were set up at the MGM Grand and thus restricting traffic from the casino was not doable.

Jade Cargill weighted in on the matter in an appearance on Club 520. She spoke about fan encounters in general at airports and the like and then talked about the “overwhelming” situation over the weekend. You can see highlights below:

On Fan Encounters At the Airport:

“What they do is that people get their kids to sign the autographs. The parent is right there. It’s 4:00 in the morning, 3:00 in the morning at the airport. Why is your kid here? They have school. Like, what are we doing?

“But no, I appreciate our fans. If anything, it shows us that what we’re doing is worthwhile. Because you know, people don’t see the dark side of wrestling as far as the traveling. The traveling is so tough. Dealing with all the other things, we have families, we have all kind of stuff. So, the fact that fans show up and spend their hard-earned money and stand in lines for hours to just shake our hand and let us see their face? It means the world.

On WrestleMania Weekend:

“But it was very overwhelming this weekend. They were all in the lobbies and things like that. And we have appearances and we have signings. And you know, if you want to see us, just come to our meet and greets. But I’m going to stop when I have time. Like, we’re going to do that. We’re going to make time. But the majority of time, we’re rushing and we’re going left and right.

“But I think we did the best that we could do with all the mobs that was going on in the hotel.”
