Jake Doyle has suffered a major setback just weeks after his AEW debut. The former TNA talent sustained a torn bicep on last night’s Dynamite.
Doyle teamed up with Don Callis Family stablemate Mark Davis to challenge FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championship on last night’s show.
The injury occurred midway through the match when Doyle held on to the top rope while taking a DDT on the apron from Cash Wheeler, landing on the hard edge of the ring. Jake was seen calling out the injury aloud immediately after the spot. The nature of the injury has since been confirmed by Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, though AEW has yet to release an official statement.
Jake Something appears to have suffered a legit injury during this spot tonight.
You can hear him tell Cash, “I just tore my bicep"
Best wishes to him.https://t.co/z1AEwllmpw

The match eventually ended in FTR’s favor, thanks to interference from reigning AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley.
The injury comes as a setback for Jake Doyle, who joined All Elite Wrestling on the January 7, 2026, episode of Dynamite. The former TNA star immediately aligned himself with The Don Callis Family and went on to win a four-way tag team match alongside Mark Davis at Dynamite: Maximum Carnage to earn a shot at FTR’s World Tag Team Championship.
411Mania will provide further details on Jake Doyle’s injury as and when they are available.
