As noted, AEW wrestler Jake Hager is slated to compete in MMA again at Bellator 250 on October 29. The news was reported just a short time before the fight was scheduled to take place. Fightful Select recently spoke to Jake Hager, who discussed how he handles setting up his fights and notifying AEW.

Speaking to Fightful, Hager revealed that while the fight was announced on October 19, he’s actually known about the matchup for about a month. He added that he let AEW know about his MMA situation as soon as possible in order to address any storyline issues with needing to take him off TV for an appropriate amount of time. Additionally, Hager joked as long as he continues winning his fights, AEW doesn’t have a problem with him continuing to compete in MMA.

Hager will face undefeated fighter Brandon Calton at Bellator 250 on October 29. The event will be held at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. The main card will air on on CBS Sports Network following prelims on CBSSports.com.
