Jake Hager Reportedly Had Near Confrontation After Power Slap Loss, Underwent Eye Surgery

Jake Hager suffered a loss and injury in his latest Power Slap appearance, and he reportedly had a near-confrontation with a basketball team after. As noted, the AEW and WWE alumnus lost to Johnny Magna via TKO at Thursday’s show. Hager took a slap that resulted in him bleeding from the eye and the doctor stopping the fight.
According to Fightful Select, Hager nearly had a confrontation with members of a college basketball team after the loss. The site doesn’t have any further details on how the situation came about.
Hager’s partner Patricia Blackburn said in a statement (posted to Instagram by Slap News) after the event, and said that Hager had emergency surgery. Below is the statement:
