Jake Roberts Names His Favorite Opponent, Favorite Snake That He Worked With

Jake Roberts recently weighed in on his favorite opponent and his favorite of the snakes that he worked with in WWE. The WWE Hall of Famer had a lot of iconic feuds over his in-ring career, and he was asked in an interview with the The Rival Room Sports Podcast which opponent was his favorite.

Roberts noted that while he liked his rivalry with “Macho Man” Randy Savage because of the segment with where he had a cobra bite Savage, Ricky Steamboat would be his favorite. The cobra came up again when he was asked his favorite snake that he worked with in the company. You can see highlights below:

On His Favorite Opponent:

“Well, it’s a two-edged sword there. I kind of like the Macho Man thing because that’s my favorite moment, that snake biting him. That just tickled the hell out of me. But my favorite opponent would probably be Ricky Steamboat. Yeah, we just had great chemistry together. It was like a chess match in the ring. It was a lot of fun for me.”

On His Favorite Snake to Work With:

Oh, easy. Hands down, the cobra. Hell yeah, that’s the one that bit Macho Man. And I had a lot of fun with that snake. He was impressive.”
