On the latest episode of The Snake Pit with Jake Roberts, the WWE Hall of Famer talked about when The Ultimate Warrior was fired by Vince McMahon immediately following his main event match at SummerSlam ’91. You can check out some highlights below:
On being there when The Ultimate Warrior was fired in WWE: “Yes, I was… As Warrior came through the curtain, Vince stepped out in the middle of the aisle and said, ‘You’re fired.’ That was it.”
On Warrior’s reaction: “He just kept going.”
On his reaction to the moment: “Couldn’t believe it, man. Could not believe it.”
On what Vince said to him after: “Yeah, he just looked at me and said, ‘You’ve got the worst luck of anyone I know.'”
