Jason Hotch Defeats Mustafa Ali, Wins International Title On TNA Impact

Jason Hotch is the new TNA International Champion, wresting the title from Mustafa Ali this week’s episode of TNA Impact. The main event of Thursday’s live episode saw Hotch challenge his Order 4 leader for his championship, a match that was set up on last week’s show.

The near-15 minute match saw the challenger and champion battle back and forth, with a few big dspots. Hotch hit an avalanche Spanish Fly at one point to leave both men down in the ring, with Hotch eventually covering for two.

Ali battled back and went for a superplex, but Hotch countered into a superplex to the outside through a table. Both men made it back into the ring to break the count and began fighting again. The finish came when the ref went down after being thrown into Hotch. Ali hit a low blow and then whipped Hotch with his belt. However, John Skyler intervened and took the belt away. Ali was able to get a roll-up and put his feet on the ropes, but Tasha Steelz shoved his feet off. Ali hit a piledriver and went up top, but missed a dive. Hotch ended up hitting a double knee strike from the top, then a splash to get the pin and title.

You can see clips from the match below. After the match, Hotch was presented with the title by Carlos Silva and then celebrated with his wife and daughter.

This marks Hotch’s first title reign in TNA. He ends Ali’s reign at 110 days. The Order 4 leader won the title from Trey Miguel at TNA Rebellion on April 11th.
