JDC wants his System comrade Eddie Edwards to face him in his retirement match at TNA Genesis, laying out the challenge at Final Resolution. Friday night’s TNA+ event saw JDC cut a promo ahead of his World Championship match with Frankie Kazarian in the main event. During the promo, JDC — who announced last month that he was retiring after Genesis — asked Edwards to be his last opponent.
The System member noted that he wasn’t sure how he would fit in the outside world, and that if he wins the title tonight maybe he could stay longer.
He then said that if he wins the title, he only wants to face Edwards. He said Edwards has the respect and love for wrestling and the grit.
The match has not yet been made official. TNE Genesis takes place on January 17th from the Curtis Culwell Center in Dallas, Texas. The show take place two nights after TNA Impact’s debut on AMC.
