Jim Ross Says Willow Nightingale Is a Great Investment In AEW’s Women’s Division

Ahead of AEW All Out, Jim Ross was asked on the latest Grilling JR to pick a winner in the women’s number one contender match between Willow Nightingale and Thekla, with the victor moving on to face Mercedes Mone at WrestleDream. Ross made his pick and explained what makes Nightingale stand out. You can check out his comments below:

On What Makes Nightingale Impressive:

“Well, I’m a big fan of Willow Nightingale’s. I love her personality, I love her music. She’s a big athletic lady, and that’s impressive. She’s very impressive when you look at her stature, her size, and how well she moves, how agile she is. Whatever she weighs, it’s a good piece of business. She’s tough, and she’s hard to handle. And anytime you can match size and strength, or mass, with athleticism, natural athleticism and timing, it’s impressive.”

On His Pick For the Match:

“So I’m a big Willow Nightingale fan. Could she lose? Of course she could lose, but I don’t think that she will. I think Willow is a great investment in the future of women’s wrestling in AEW. She’ll never be supplanted as long as she can stay healthy, and that’s sometimes easier said than done.”
