During a recent interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp that was recorded before WWE Wrestlepalooza, The Usos recalled the hardest they were ever hit during a wrestling match. According to Jimmy Uso, the hardest he ever got hit was by his own brother, Jey Uso, during their Hell in a Cell Match against The New Day’s Xavier Woods and Big E at the 2017 edition of the premium live event.
During the match, Jimmy Uso got inadvertently hit by a kendo stick by Jey Uso. Jimmy recalled on the moment, “Oh, I remember. I remember. I actually was against Hell in the Cell man with a Kendo stick and I had Xavier Woods and brother was supposed to hit him but whack the hell out of me.” He continued, “Remember that we had him in cuffs? Shouts out to the Briscoes, man. Like, shouts out to the brother Briscoes straight up. Whacked the hell out of me. Whacked the hell out of me.”
Jey explained that since he and his brother are twins, they can be fighting one second then making up the next. He added, “Hey, man. We twins, bro. So we might fight this second and then hug and make up. Like, that’s what twins do. Let alone siblings, but twins are worse.”
The match at Hell in a cell 2017 ultimately saw The Usos beat The New Day to win the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship. Jimmy and Jey Uso eventually did split up years later. However, they’ve more recently gotten back together and patched things up. At Wrestlepalooza, they teamed up once again but lost to The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed at the premium live event.
During yesterday’s WWE Crown Jewel Perth, they sought to come to the aid of The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, during his Street Fight against Bronson Reed. However, Jey Uso ended up accidentally spearing Roman Reigns through a table, leading to Reigns losing the match via pinfall. After the match, an angry Reigns told The Usos that he didn’t want to see them again until Christmas.
