Joe Alonzo Beats Home Town Man Ahead of TNA Lockdown, Earns Contract

AAW Heavyweight Champion Joe Alonzo was in action today at TNA Lockdown before the official broadcast and picked up a huge win. As previously reported, AAW and TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella announced yesterday that Alonzo would be competing at today’s event against TNA star Home Town Man.

Additionally, it was announced that if Alonzo wins, he’d be offered a TNA Wrestling contract. Alonzo beat Home Town Man in an in-arena exclusive match (via Fightful) and successfully defended his title. Per the stipulation, Alonzo has now earned a TNA contract.

Fightful Select reports that Alonzo has now officially signed with TNA. It’s said the two parties closed the deal last week. Alonzo previously appeared on TNA Xplosion, and per Fightful, he impressed officials with his work.
