Joe Hendry Retains NXT Championship Against Ricky Saints at NXT Vengeance Day 2026

Joe Hendry is still the NXT Champion. Hendry retained the championship against Ricky Saints at tonight’s NXT Vengeance Day event.
The hard-fought match saw an appearance from Ethan Page, who picked up the NXT Championship belt and wandered down to the ring. All Ego threw the title belt into the ring, but he mistakenly threw it toward Hendry.
This led to a tussle between Hendry and Saints over the belt before the match official got rid of it. However, Ricky used this moment to hit Hendry in the nuts and nail a Revolution DDT for a near fall.
Hendry eventually hit Ricky in the nuts behind the referee’s back and then executed the Standing Ovation to secure a pinfall victory.
