Keep Refreshing For The Latest Results

Hello everyone and welcome to 411mania’s LIVE coverage of AAA Triplemania 34, I’m Robert Winfree and I’ll be your host. Last night was a pretty solid night of lucha action, highlighted by La Parka retaining the AAA Latin American title and Los Perros del Mal winning the AAA trios titles from Los Psycho Circus. Tonight we’ve got Rey Fenix defending his cruiserweight title against Jack Cartwheel, Mini Vikingo, and Nathan Frazer, Flammer defending her Reina de Reinas title against La Catalina as well. There’s a 15 man Copa Bardahl, basically a battle royal, the War Raiders holding an open challenge for their tag belts, a good old fashioned Mexican Street fight between El Carnicero and Psycho Clown as well. The main event will see Dominik Mysterio trying to defend his AAA Mega Championship against the one and only El Grande Americano. Americano and the former Americano Chad Gable had maybe the match of the year earlier but Unwashed Dom is a different challenge. So all in all it should be a decent show on paper, let’s hope the action lives up to it.

We’ve got Corey Graves, and JBL have English commentary and welcome us to the show.

Match #1: Copa Bardhal

There’s 15 competitors who will enter at different intervals, and you can eliminate people via pinfall or submission as well as over the top rope to the floor. First two are Mr. Iguana and Abismo Negro Jr. Negro gets behind Iguana, Iguana slips free and hits a tilt a whirl armdrag. Multiple rotation satellite headscissors from Iguana. Rolling armbar from Iguana as at 3 we’ve got Histeria.

Histeria is a teammate with Negro and they team up to beat down Iguana. They try to eliminate Iguana but Iguana stays safe.

At 4 we’ve got Mascarita Sagrada. Sagrada with a hurricanrana to Negro then chops for Histeria. Iguana shows up with La Ysca to attack the rudos.

At 5 is Taurus, that’ll change the atmosphere. Taurus corners Iguana then hits a Meteora and a running clothesline. Taurus is the third member of Los Vipers along with Negro and Histeria so the trio works together to beat down Iguana with a tossing powerbomb then Negro follows with a diving double stomp to the groin. Sagrada breaks up the pin but that gets him beaten down by the heels. JBL being a Sagrada fan is kind of a great bit as Sagrada takes a Spear from Taurus.

Number 6 is El Fiscal in some Skeletor gear. Fiscal with tilt a whirl moves to Taurus and Histeria then he attacks Negro and clotheslines him out of the match. Next Fiscal tries to take out Histeria and Taurus but Negro eliminates him from behind. The two eliminated men fight on the floor now and brawl to the back.

7 is Laredo Kid. Laredo gets to attacking Histeria and Taurus then hits a lovely avalanche hurricanrana onto Taurus and a Mexican Destroyer for Histeria. Michinoku Driver to Sagrada then he attacks Iguana as well. Iguana and Laredo trade elbows for a bit.

8 interrupts things as here comes Mecha Wolf. Wolf attacks Laredo with a diving tornado DDT then a pop up kick to the back of Histeria. Iguana hits Wolf with Ysca, but Wolf just rakes his eyes the catches Sagrada as well and drops Sagrada onto Iguana with a Uranage and that gets a 2 count.

9 is La Parka, not the original. Parka gets to running wild with a pump kick and rolling cutter. Tilt a whirl backbreaker to Histeria then a Flapjack for Laredo. Parka dropkicks Taurus from the second rope to the floor then eliminates Histeria with a Bonebreaker. Iguana and Parka share a fist bump before 10 comes out.

10 is El Mesias. Mesias has no patience for the silliness in the ring and lays people out with clotheslines, a DDT, then a backbreaker for Iguana. Sagrada gets tossed around then Mesias and Wolf stare down, then team up to hit Laredo with a Hart Attack version.

11 is Dinamico, he enters with kicks and a springboard dropkick for Wolf. Cutter to Laredo then a spin kick for Iguana and a pop up powerbomb. Sliding knee strike to Parka but Dinamico only finds 2. Wolf punches with Dinamico but Dinamico hits him with a springboard Cutter but can’t quite eliminate Wolf who hits him with the Mist then Mesias Spears him down. That leads to a pin on Dinamico.

12 is Texano Jr. Texano lays into Wolf and Laredo then hits both of them with a stalling Spinebuster. Mesias and Texano stare down then get to slugging each other. Rough Rider from Texano gets a 2 count on Mesias but no elimination.

13 is the big man Omos. Everyone stops as soon as his music hits and stares at the giant marching to the ring. Everyone tries to charge but Omos lays everyone out. Sagrada stands up to Omos and tries leg kicks but Omos just laughs him off then tries a chokeslam but everyone breaks that up. Omos tosses Texano, Laredo, Mesias, then chokeslams Wolf and pins him to rack up eliminations. Parka attacks but Omos just clotheslines him out of the ring, he’s left with just Iguana and Sagrada. Sagrada climbs up top but everyone just stands around until the next entrant.

14 is Chris Carter. Omos is befuddled by the abused Carter still being ambulatory. Carter, taped up all over the ribs, charges at Omos but Omos catches him then Military presses him onto the pile of bodies at ringside.

15, our last entrant, is Nino Hamburguesa. Hamburguesa goes at Omos and squashes him in the corner a few times then tries to tip him over the ropes but Omos just shoves him down. Iguana gets pie faced out of the ring, but Sagrada nearly yanks Omos out, Sagrada is out but Omos is holding onto the top rope. That allows Hamburguesa to run into Omos on the apron a few times but Omos catches him and tosses him out to win.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Omos won in 22:35

Rating: 2.5 stars
Thoughts: Fun little opener here, the near elimination of Omos at the end was a nice little hope spot for everyone.

Match #2 – AAA Reina de Reinas title match: (c) Flammer vs. La Catalina

Flammer shoves Catalina then they tie up. Catalina grabs a side headlock but Flammer yanks her down by the hair. Some evasive moves from both women then we get a stand off. Shoulder block from Catalina then a low dropkick. Catalina catches a kick then lands a clothesline. Flammer avoids a rope hip attack and yanks Catalina out of the ring then batters her around the apron, announce tables, and rams Catalina into the ring steps. Back in the ring Flammer stomps away at Catalina then lays in some chops. Double reverse chicken win from Flammer, Catalina kicks her way out of that but Flammer lays in some elbows then jumps for a one armed guillotine. Catalina counters into a suplex to break that up and unloads strikes of her own. Running dropkick from Catalina then sort of the mid rope hip attack. On the floor now Catalina hits a Spear to level Flammer. Flammer is able to send Catalina into the time keepers area, but Catalina comes off the barricade with a crossbody.

Back in the ring now Catalina heads up top for a dropkick. Running corner hip attack from Catalina gets a 2 count. Gory Special from Catalina, turned into a Gory Bomb for another 2 count. Catalina up top but misses a flying nothing, Flammer then with a roll into a double stomp and an Angels Wings for her own 2 count. Some stomps and chops from Flammer but Catalina fires up and they start trading elbows. Catalina gets the better of that and hits another Spear but only a 2 count. Corner chops from Catalina, she tries a 10 punch after that but Flammer ties her up and kicks her square in the face then hits a running Liger Bomb for a near fall. Flammer goes up top but Catalina avoids the Swanton Bomb, Catalina up top and hits a Splash for a 2 count. Codebreaker from Flammer then a running dropkick to knock the seated Catalina through the ropes. Flammer sends Catalina back in the ring, she keeps looking up the ramp but no one is coming. That distraction though allows Catalina to yank Flammer off the top rope. Rope hip attack from Catalina then a Busaiku Knee to get the 3 count.

OFFICIAL RESULT: La Catalina won the title in 10:26

Rating: 3 stars
Thoughts: Good hard hitting stuff from both women, the self distraction from Flammer was an interesting choice but worked pretty well as it didn’t make Catalina seem like a fluke winner while also giving Flammer something to work with now that she finally lost the title.

Match #3 – Mexico City Street Fight: Psycho Clown vs. El Carnicero

Clown immediately suicide dives at Carnicero as Carnicero was attacking random dudes at ringside. Ringside brawling but Carnicero boots down Clown. For what it’s worth Corey Graves’s voice sounds like he’s having issues. Clown gets a kendo stick and attacks Carnicero with it for a bit before Carnicero takes it and just breaks it over his knee. Carnicero misses a boot and Clown dropkicks him to the floor. Clown sets to dive but Carnicero just throws a trashcan into his face. Carnicero heads into the ring and attacks Clown then clotheslines him down. Carnicero has a chair now and whacks Clown with it a few times. Clown is down and Carnicero hits him move then stomps the chair onto his chest and follows trying a big sit but Clown upends the chair so Carnicero drops crotch first onto it. Now Clown gets to swinging with the chair and flattens Carnicero. Clown heads out of the ring and gets a table from under the ring, a Slim Jim table even, which he slides into the ring. Clown sets up the table in the middle of the ring, then gets the chair but Carnicero just punches it out of his hands. Carnicero wedges the chair into a corner but Clow attacks with punches and a headbutt. Clown with the old up and over to avoid Carnicero who rams himself into the chair.

Trashcan shot to Carnicero, Carnicero falls onto the table. Clown goes up top and Splashes Carnicero through the table but can’t make a cover as his ribs are busted up. Eventually Clown covers but Carnicero is able to kick out at 2 given how long it took to make the cover. Both men start trading punches from their knees, Clown gets the better of things and tears off his shirt, then tears off the face of his mask to reveal the dark part of it. Carnicero then boots a trashcan into Clown’s face before tying him up in the ropes. Carnicero thinks about an attack then stops and goes looking under the ring, he finds a toolbox which he empties and tosses into the ring. Before anything can come of that here comes Pagano with a kendo stick. But of course he’s the one who brought in Carnicero and he directs Carnicero to level Clown with the toolbox and pick up the win.

OFFICIAL RESULT: El Carnicero won in 8:22

Rating: 2.5 stars
Thoughts: Decent little brawl, but kind of lacking in violence for a street fight stipulation and given who the participants were. The finish felt a little flat as well, which is odd because it should have inspired heat.

Post match Pagano hands Carnicero the kendo stick and he unloads on Clown with it until the stick splinters.

In the back Dominik Mysterio gets some promo time and doesn’t care about Rey Mysterio who he thinks is finished. Grande is alone, and Dom doesn’t even need Omos by his side tonight.

Match #4 – AAA Cruiserweight Title Fatal 4-Way Match: (c) Rey Fenix vs. Jack Cartwheel vs. Nathan Frazer vs. Mini Vikingo

Fenix shook hands with all of his competitors before the bell sounded. We also get word that the main event will be No DQ. Fenix boots Jack, Frazer tries a roll up, Vikingo does as well but no one finds much. Dropkick from Fenix to Jack. Jack boots Vinkingo, hits a neckbreaker on Fenix then from the apron he kicks Vikingo then does a gorgeous Slam Stand elbow drop to Frazer. Rolling Death Valley Driver from Jack to Frazer gets 2. Frazer up and over out of the corner then a truly awfully executed Sling Blade to Jack. Frazer with a lifting Flatliner to Vikingo for a 2 count as Fenix breaks up the pin. Fenix disposes of Frazer but Vikingo hits him with a superkick. Some incredibly acrobatic takedowns from Vikingo then a Manami Roll that’s basically ended with a Code Red to Fenix for a 2 count. Vikingo with a gorgeous double springboard corkscrew crossbody onto Frazer and Jack on the floor. Back in the ring Vikingo with a lovely Poisoned Rana to Fenix for a near fall. Vikingo up top, Fenix then floors him with an uppercut. Frazer and Jack show up but Fenix with a double Lethal Injection to take them down. Fenix to the apron, running punt to Vikingo on the floor, then a really nice orihara moonsault to follow up. Jack is able to pump kick Fenix but Fenix with the Fireman’s Brainbuster to him then a gamen giri to Frazer and moonsault press for a 2 count.

Fenix up top again, Frazer jumps up with him though for a Spanish Fly and a really close near fall. Frazer now speeds up and gets to hit everyone with suicide dives then a tope con hilo to Fenix. Back in the ring now for Frazer and Fenix, Frazer goes up top but Fenix jumps up with him for a vicious avalanche German suplex. Fenix runs into a superkick from Frazer when trying to follow up though and that gets Frazer another 2 count. Jack shows up and tries a pin on Frazer then gets sent out of the ring by Frazer. Frazer lines up another dive and springs but gets nothing but the announce table on the landing as Jack and Vikingo part like the Red Sea. Fenix up top now, but Jack catches him with a leaping powerbomb. Vikingo knocks Jack off the top and hits the craziest Crucifix Driver to Fenix. Cartwheel with a German suplex to Vikingo then a Sky Twister Press to Fenix and Frazer has to break up that pin at the last second.

All four men slowly pull themselves up and we get chops in the round until superkicks start getting dealt, head kicks from Fenix and Jack to each other then Vikingo and Frazer kick them and pump kick each other to put everyone down again. Fenix with a running kick to Jack in the corner, he sets him up top and tries the Mexican Muscle Buster, it hits but Viking with a gorgeous Shooting Star Press to break up the pin then cover Jack for a great near fall. Vikingo boots Fenix but Fenix with a superkick as Vikingo is up top. Fenix climbs up with Vikingo, he wants an avalanche Mexican Muscle Buster but Frazer shows up to do the Tower of Doom spot. Frazer up now, Phoenix Splash to Fenix but only a near fall! Jack and Frazer lay in elbows now, Jack lands an enziguri but Frazer returns it. Frazer runs into an overhead throw into the corner, Jack then with a Sasuke Special to Vikingo and Fenix on the floor. Jack up top, Jack’s Arrow to Frazer but somehow only a 2 count again! Good grief these four guys. Fenix with Adios Amigo to Jack, Vikingo tosses Fenix after that though then Vikingo heads up top, Phoenix 450 to Jack but Fenix then grabs Viking with a Mexican Muscle Buster to finally find a 3 count.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Rey Fenix retained the title in 14:21

Rating: 4.5 stars
Thoughts: A wild sprint and incredible display of athleticism. Frazer and Jack came off as increasingly desperate to find a win, Vikingo feels like a budding star who’s lack of experience played a role in his loss but I mean that as a compliment. Fenix is still one of the best guys in the world when given the time to work. This was pretty darn great, a little short of the full 5 but not by much.

At gorilla Los Perros del Mal insist their music be played and they head to the ring. The group attacks everyone in the ring. Daga, Angel, and Berto lay waste to everyone. The crowd sing to them for a bit.

The War Raiders head to the ring for their open challenge. Answering it is the team of El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Galeno

Match #5 – AAA Tag Team Title Match: (c) War Raiders (Erik and Ivar) vs. The Wagner Brothers (El Hijo de Dr. Wanger Jr. and Galeno)

Wagner and Erik start, Erik with a knee but Wagner hits the rings and runs over Erik. Ivar tags in, Wagner lands punches then a few kicks and an enziguri. Galeno tags in and slams Wagner onto Ivar for a 2 count. Wagner tags back in but Ivar powders, so Wagner boots Erik but Ivar yanks him down and rams Wagner into the barricade the hits the crossbody to crush him against it. Back in the ring Erik tags in and the Raiders club away at Wagner. Ivar tags back in and Wagner takes the sequential knees but he still kicks at 2. Erik tags in and attacks Galeno who doesn’t drop. Wagner slips an attack and slaps Erik, then we get a double clothesline spot and both men are down. Both men tag out and Galeno runs over Ivar and Erik. Corner knee to Erik then clotheslines for Erik in the corner. Scoop slam for Erik then a bit of rope running and a Splash. Ivar fights out of the corner with a seated senton. Now Ivar goes up top, and he hits a moonsault but Galeno kicks at 2, and I mean at 2 not even close to 3. Erik tags in, but Galeno counters the knee sequence and boots Erick but Ivar with the wheel kick to Galeno. Wagner shows up but eats the assisted powerslam but still kicks out.

Ragnarok to Wagner but Galeno breaks up the pin to save the match. The straps are down for Galeno and he hits a tope con hilo onto both Erik and Ivar. Wagner Driver to Erick, Galeno tags and follows with a Frog Splash and that gets the pin and the titles.

OFFICIAL RESULT: The Wagner Brothers won the titles in 5:51

Rating: 3 stars
Thoughts: Short but sweet, just a good smash mouth style lucha bout.

Match #6 – AAA Mega Championship No Disqualification Title Match: (c) Dominik Mysterio w/ Dorian Roldan vs. El Grande Americano

Americano still has taped up ribs. Immediate shotgun dropkick from Americano and he unloads on Dom in the corner with strikes. Clothesline from Americano and Dom powders, so Americano hits a suicide dive. Ringside brawling now as Americano continues unleashing his fire on Dom including a sending him into the fans. Crowd brawling now, Americano has the edge until Dom goes to the eyes. Dom takes over and sends things back to the ringside area. Chops are traded but that goes poorly for Dom and Americano slings him into the ring steps. Americano separates the ring steps, he pulls Dom onto the base but Dorian distracts him so Dom can sweep the legs and Americano takes a nasty back bump onto the ring steps. Dom follows up with some chair shots to the ribs then he tears the bandages off of Americano. Back in the ring Dom still has a chair and whacks Americano with it. Some more chair work from Dom as he just wears out Americano with that chair. Ankle pick from Americano and he chokes out Dom from on top until Dom attacks the eyes again. More chair shots from Dom.

Dorian hands Dom his belt and he starts whipping Americano with it. That goes on for a while but Americano grabs one end of the belt and wont let go. Americano yanks Dom into a clothesline then unloads punches in the corner and hits a nice gamen giri for a 2 count. Now American gets the belt and whips Dom with it for a bit then hits the Kaiser Roll and Penalty Kick for another 2 count. Still with the belt Americano chokes Dom with the Cabaneria and the belt. Dorian shows up, as does JD McDonagh who headbutts Americano. Dom with the 619 to follow up but only a 2 count. Out comes Los Americanos to beat down JD and chase him up to the stage, and of course Bravo heads up top of the display to dive onto a pile of bodies.

Air Raid Crash from Americano gets a near fall. Rayo and Bravo head down to the ring but Omos shows up and lays them out on the entrance ramp. Omos stalks to the ring, Americano with a suicide dive but Omos cares not then boots him down. On the floor Omos rams Americano into the ring post, kicks him over to the announce table but Americano goes to the eyes of Omos to save himself then takes him to dick kick city. Americano with the chair now and he unloads on Omos with it. Omos down to a knee but he’s back up, charges at Americano but Americano avoids him and Omos wipes out through the barricade. Back in the ring Americano blocks a low blow, lands a short arm headbutt then a big running headbutt to floor Dom but only a near fall. Americano heads up top but Dom attacks him up there then climbs up with him. They trade some punches on the top rope, Americano is able to punch Dom down but he’s too slow an Liv Morgan runs down make everything worse. Liv crotches Americano, Dom follows with a 619 and a Frog Splash but only a near fall!

Americano suddenly fires up but Dom pulls the ref into his headbutt. Liv gets the title belt, hands it to Dom and he lays into Americano. Dom up top yet again, but Americano dodges the Frog Splash. Americano fires up, another running headbutt connects, Rey Mysterio runs down in a neck brace and ref shirt to count the 3!

OFFICIAL RESULT: El Grande Americano won the title in 17:33

Rating: 4 stars
Thoughts: Some really nice near falls down the stretch, and Americano’s connection to the fanbase is truly something special. I’ve got to be a little honest though, I’m quite tired of the Bloodline Rules style matches where we just layer interference after interference over and over again. This still worked out here but the returns are definitely diminishing on that layout. This was also the right time to beat Dom, Americano is about as hot as a babyface gets these days and Dom had done everything he was going to do as Mega champ.

Post match Americano is serenaded by a band and the entire crowd as he celebrates and the event comes to a close.

That does it for AAA Triplemania Night 2, thank you all for being here everyone. Live, after the fact, either way I’m glad you stopped by. I’ve got WWE Smackdown coverage every Friday and UFC events on Saturdays if any of that appeals to you, plus I do pitch in on stuff like this from time to time. Hope to see you all soon but until then stay safe out there and keep checking 411mania for all of your pop culture needs.
