SICKOS! It’s Wednesday, you know what that means! AEW Dynamite is LIVE tonight from Houston, Texas, and while the build to Full Gear continues, we are also going to get more clarity when it comes to the Blood & Guts matches that will take place next week in Greensboro, North Carolina.

On the Men’s side of things, Claudio Castagnoli and Orange Cassidy will face off for early advantage going into their B&G match next week, while Darby Allin will face Daniel Garcia. Wait, why are there two men’s matches, I hear you ask? Well, instead of just having ONE match to determine who gets the advantage in B&G next week, there will be a best of three for both the women and the men. As far as the men go, assuming that there is a tie in the first matches, Roddy Strong will take on Jon Moxley in the deciding third match, probably on Collision this Saturday. On the women’s side, my future Ex-Wife Mina Shirakawa will face Megan Bayne tonight, with Jamie Hayter facing Skye Blue (probably on Collision), and assuming they end up tied at one, match three will pit Harley Cameron against Thekla on, again, I am assuming will be Collision.

Speaking of the ladies, tonight the Women’s Tag Team Title Tourney continues, as the “Dream Team” of Mercedes Mone and Athena will face The Babes of Wrath! And speaking of “Dream Teams” I suppose, The AEW Men’s World Champion Hangman Adam Page will team up with Eddie Kingston and HOOK to face the World Trios’ Champions the Opps in a match that, I assume, is going to be non-title. After all, we can’t have TOO many people holding TOO many titles at the same time! All of this and, as I am sure, so much more in store tonight!

So, how is everyone tonight? Last night during my NXT coverage, I ranted against the Flyers, but hey, they beat Montreal, on the road, in a shootout! I mean, sure, they blew a 3-0 lead after the first period, but a win is a win! And speaking of win, I think the Pacers forgot how to win, although the injuries don’t help. The Eagles (and Howie Roseman) always win, though.

Enough of that, it’s time to light the fuse and make the Dynamite go BOOM!

We see the end of last week’s Dynamite, as Hangman Page was playing the role of Tony Schiavone playing the role of Phantom of the Opera, taking out the Opps!

Hey, the REAL Tony is in the ring! Or is it?

Nope, it is.

There is a NEW National Champion, and we will talk about it tonight on this telecast!

But the Opps don’t want to hear it, as they come out to the stage (sans titles). Joe has the mic.

Pardon the interruption, but Houston, we have a problem!

(Cleaver, no?)

See there’s a term Joe heard a long time ago around here, and it just might apply to Tony Schiavone. He knows Tony will say he had nothing to do with last week, but Joe finds that VERY hard to believe.

TONY SHIT chants, as Tony tells him how much respect he has for Joe and the Opps.

Joe: SHUT UP!

He will explain to Tony what will happen. There are consequences for the actions we take part in, and consequences have come for you, my sweet Georgia Peach!

Security is here, and they are about to get wrecked. Joe confirms as much, but here comes Hangman, stealer of Arilyn’s heart! The Opps leave because, sure, why not?

But Joe isn’t done talking, though. This couldn’t have worked out any better, because they can take care of two problems at once!

The Opps get on the apron, but here comes Eddie Kingston and HOOK! The Opps, again, cower away.

Hangman forgives Joe for being confused about who is Hangman and who is Joe lol. He will let Joe handle his problem, but his problem will be kicking Joe’s ass.

HOOK on the mic. So, you guys the Trios’ Champions, huh? Without me, huh? Why don’t you prove you fighting champions and put them on the line against us tonight?

Joe proceeds to lose his mind, but eventually, he agrees to it, and promises they will kick their asses.

Tony says that TK has made it official! Tonight’s main event will be a Trios’ Titles Match!

Excalibur runs down the matches and segments for tonight. Also, in case you didn’t know it, Blood and Guts is next week. I’m sure this is new information to everyone.

Our first match in the men’s B&G Best of 3!

Blood and Guts Advantage Match – Men’s Side: Orange Cassidy vs. Claudio Castagnoli

Cassidy isn’t waiting, as he hits Claudio with a Tope before the bell! He does it a second time! He mounts Claudio in the chair at ringside and punches away. Claudio says F this and he picks up Cassidy and throws him into the ring. He removes his shirt and enters the ring. Cassidy waits for him and runs him from corner to corner, but Claudio chucks him away like refuse.

The bell official rings, as Cassidy counters an uppercut with an arm drag. Claudio hits the floor, as Cassidy looks for a third Tope, but he is caught out of thin air. Claudio carries Cassidy around the ring and drops him across the barricade in front of the timekeeper’s area. He picks up Cassidy, walks up the steps with him, and throws him into the ring.

Cassidy tries to surprise Claudio, but again he catches him and picks him up. Cassidy sneaks around the back and tries to put on a sleeper hold. Claudio hunches over, but he eventually peels up and swings Cassidy around on his back! Cassidy tames him, though, and keeps the sleeper on. Claudio stands up and breaks the fingers of Cassidy! Giant Swing incoming! Cassidy is propelled from the ring as Claudio favors his neck and throat as we go to break!

Claudio is in complete control with uppercuts for dinner as we return. Cassidy manages to get his hands in the pockets, though, but Claudio isn’t afraid, as he hits a suplex. Cassidy again goes back to the pockets, which only enrages Claudio, as he hits a gut wrench throw. Cassidy does it again! Claudio just picks him up like a spoiled brat and takes him to the corner. Cassidy sits up in the corner, hands in the pocket, and the look ma, no hands Rana! Claudio misses lariats, dropkick from Cassidy. Back slide from Cassidy for a two. PK from Cassidy, as Claudio escapes the ring. Cassidy slides through the corner, Claudio catches him, but Cassidy still hits the DDT! Back in the ring, Cassidy from the top with another DDT! The cover, two count!

Claudio on the apron, Cassidy looking Orange Punch, but Claudio catches him again and hits a Liger Bomb! The cover, two count, as Claudio moves on to a cross face! Cassidy sits back into a pin for a two. Claudio with the uppercut, Gotch Style Piledriver is countered, Beach Break countered, Rana by Orange for a two. Claudio with a basement uppercut for a two.

Cassidy rolls out to the apron; Claudio catches Cassidy in the ropes and hammers away with body blows. Claudio to the top, he’s thinking superplex, but Cassidy with the Stun Dog Millionaire! Orange Punch is intercepted with an uppercut! Orange Punch! Claudio is still standing! He catches Cassidy with the Pop-up European for the win!
WINNER: Claudio Castagnoli

THOUGHTS: Gutsy Orange Cassidy and powerhouse Claudio Castagnoli. Take them and put them together, and you have a nice weights and measures kind of match. Claudio winning shouldn’t be a surprise, as the heels usually get the advantage in B&G matches, or those that are parallel. A good match, though.
RATING: ***1/4

The Remarkable Renee Paquette has Mark Briscoe, TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher, and Don Callis in the back. Renee says Mark asked for this time. Mark says two weeks ago, he issued a challenge for a rematch for the TNT Title. At Wrestle Dream, you beat Mark by kicking him in the no-go zone, and he wants to make Kyle a better man and a better champion. Mark challenges Kyle to a No-DQ match at Full Gear!

Don Callis says if Mark wins, he gets the TNT Title, but what will Mark put up if he loses? Mark says you want my career. Don says no, he loves Mark Briscoe. But when Mark loses, he will join the Don Callis Family and leave those losers in the Conglomeration.

Briscoe says you think that he made a deal with the Devil, but Don was the men who just made a deal with the Devil. You got it, buddy!

The Dream Team faces The Babes of Wrath next!

Excalibur has confirmed that the million-dollar match is official for Full Gear. Renee has The Young Bucks, Don (again) and Josh Alexander in the back. Renee asks if this means the Bucks have joined the Don Callis Family. Before they can answer, Callis cuts in, asking if they got their care package, and he says that even if it took every penny in his bank account, he was going to make sure that the Young Bucks weren’t treated as jobbers. Everyone from the DCF shows up, and Don says if you don’t believe him, take this endorsement from your buddy the Rainmaker! Okada shows up, Matt Jackson says this is all too much and they need more time. Everyone leaves except for Okada, who tells them to not take too much time.

So disappointed that Okada didn’t come back and say BITCH lol!

Mercedes Ultimo Mone is here, with guys and her 1,200 titles!

AEW Women’s Tag Team Title Tourney: Mercedes Ultimo Mone and Athena vs. Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale

Athena and Mone attack before the bell! The bell rings officially, as Mone hits a Meteora then mounts Cameron with punches. To her corner she goes, as Athena gets the tag. Both Mone and Athena kick away at Cameron. Quick tag, and Mone is back in. She drapes Harley against the middle rope and chokes her with her leg. She kicks her in the head and then pins her for a two. Another tag to Athena, as she delivers a straight punch to Cameron.

Snapmare by Athena, as she jams her knee into the back of Cameron. Athena lays into Harley with punches and then tags in Mone. Mone taunts Harley, throws her down, and knocks Willow off the apron. BOSTON SUCKS chants because, sure, why not? Cameron, meanwhile, catches Mone with a side suplex. She tags in Willow, who runs over Mone and sends Athena from the ring.

Athena returns, but Willow throws her into Mone and sandwiches both women to the corner. Willow to the top with a missile dropkick to both Mone and Athena. Tag to Harley, as they double team Mone. They do the booty bump, and Willow drops Cameron on top of Mone! The cover, but Athena makes the save. Athena sends Willow to the apron and drop kicks her of the apron. Mone with the backstabber to Harley. Athena with a Tope to Willow on the floor! Meteora from Mone, as Athena drops Mone on top of Cameron! The cover, two count, as we hit the break!

(Commercials during women’s matches is a travesty, I’m just throwing it out there).

Mone looking for the Three Amigos as we return from break. She tags in Athena to help her with the third one, but Cameron sneaks out the back door. DOUBLE CRUCIFIX BOMB BY HARLEY! RUNNING DOUBLE CROSSBODY BY WILLOW! She counts to ten on Athena in the corner and then hits the CANNONBALL! Spinebuster with the high stake for a two count. Willow pulls up Athena, but she lands on her feet and slaps Willow. Athena tags in Mone, who goes high as Athena goes low on Willow. The cover, two count, as Mone freaks out. Mone trying a flying head scissors, but Willow sits out with a suplex.

Cameron gets the tag, they look to bounce Mone, but she hits a backstabber on Willow. Soul Food by Cameron to Mone. Athena with a lariat to Cameron. Willow hits a lariat on Athena. Lungblower/backstabber by Mone and Athena, as Cameron is in trouble. Willow runs over Mone, sending her into the pile, and breaking up the submission. THIS IS AWESOME chants, and I agree!

The match resets with Willow and Athena, as someone apparently lost extensions in the ring. Willow turns the see-saw battle into a lariat into Athena. She hits a DVD on Mone, but her cannonball misses. Athena with a sit out suplex to Willow. Cameron with the blind tag, she has Willow on her shoulders, she catches Harley, AND ATHENA HITS A DOUBLE FALLAWAY SLAM! The cover, two count.

Billie Starkz is here! She grabs Athena’s title, but here is Kris Statlander! She attacks Billie, and in the confusion, Willow hits the Doctor Bomb, and Harley hits her Finishing Move! The pin, and the upset has happened!
WINNER: The Babes of Wrath (Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale)
TIME: 12:40
THOUGHTS: I’ve said it before, and I will say it again every day if I have to: Harley and Willow are more fun than what should be legally allowed. They also have come together as a great team, and the unified team knocks off the team of singles champions. A super fun match with the surprise result!

Match Two of the Men’s B&G advantage series is up next!

Tony Schiavone is going to try this big announcement again. There will a casino gauntlet match at Full Gear, and the winner will earn the AEW National Title! Apparently, the National Title has been around for 40 years, and a lot of wrestlers have been signing up to take part in this match. Two of those men are going to come out now.

The Hurt Syndicate, dressed to impress, are here! MVP chants, as he checks Tony’s face to make sure it is, in fact, Tony. Tony confirms that it is, indeed, him LOL!

MVP says they are the most interesting thing to walk into the room. What else is interesting is the National Title. He runs through the big names of the NWA and who held the National Title. When it comes to Iconic, who is more Iconic than Bobby Lashley? Who is better than the Standard of Excellence, Shelton Benjamin? The prize is there’s!

Tony wants to know what will happen if both men go up against each other. MVP says that the Hurt Syndicate wins, but more importantly, so do the fans.

AH-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! The Demand are here! Ricochet says that he will make this as quick as he can, because as an Eagles fan, he doesn’t want to be in this trash ass state anymore.

YES! I LOVE YOU, RICKY!

Ricky says The Hurt Syndicate deserve respect, because given their advanced age, they are still trying to wrestle and compete. Ricky wants to know how Bobby’s back is doing. He says the morons watching here and the morons watching at home know that they have gotten the better of the Hurt Syndicate.

MVP says they need to shut up before they come down there and whoop their asses. Ricky says the only thing that you need to know is that he is going to leave Full Gear as the inaugural National Champion. AH-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

MVP says you talk shit, we kick ass, so let’s run it.

But, they don’t run it lol.

Jurassic Express are in the back. Jack Perry says that is a lot of money, but there are more important things that money, such as friendship. He takes out a hundred-dollar bill, sticks it to a piece of wood with his knife, and says this should help the Young Bucks. Luchasaurus wants to take the money, but Jack tells him to leave it LOL.

Darby Fell, for You!

Blood and Guts Advantage Match – Men’s Side: Darby Allin vs. Daniel Garcia

The bell rings, as both men struggle for control. Garcia takes Darby to the mat and paint brushes him. Allin to his feet, he goes behind, but Garcia throws him away. Darby is back with a side headlock, as he takes Garcia over for a quick pin. Allin keeps the headlock on for a bit, as he takes Daniel back to the mat. Garcia to his feet, he grabs the ear of Allin to break the hold. Cross chop by Garcia floors Allin.

Garcia stalks Allin to the corner. He kicks him and then stands on him and poses in the corner. Garcia to the apron, he removes the pad covering the corner and he chokes out Allin with it. He feigns doing his dance, but he doesn’t, and the fans aren’t happy lol. Darby grabs Daniel’s arm and he wrenches it around the post. He proceeds to bite his arm, as Garcia stumbles away. Darby back in the ring, and he’s right back out of it with a Tope!

Allin chucks Garcia into the barricade, and he follows that up with a shotgun dropkick. Allin throws Garcia back into the ring, but he rolls back out of the ring. He catches Allin in the ring apron and kicks him in the head. Garcia rolls in to break the count, goes back outside, and he throws Darby into the ring steps. Allin writhes in pain as we head out for break.

Garcia has Allin in the Surfboard/Romero Special, and he launches Allin face first into the corner as we return. Allin to the apron, but he flies back into the ring and catches Garcia in a guillotine! Garcia reverses, Allin with the reversal, Garcia back in control. Allin leans back and scores a two count. Garcia with a choke hold, he goes to the corner, goes to the top, and chokes Allin from the top Ala Brody King. Garcia sits Allin on the top rope and he goes up. Superplex by Garcia. He tries to roll through with another suplex, but Allin goes up and over and hits the Scorpion Death Drop!

The match resets, as Allin looks to climb to the top rope. However, Garcia gets to his feet and trips up Allin, sending him crashing to the arena floor. Garcia to the outside, he sets up Allin behind the ring steps and he walks away. Garcia runs in and kicks the steps into the head of Allin! Bryce Remsberg pushes Garcia and admonishes him lol. He starts the count on Allin.

Allin makes it to his feet, as Garcia has the ref! And now we know why, as PAC comes through like a runaway train and hits Allin with a lariat! Allin just makes it in at the count of nine. He flails around like a fish out of water trying to hit Garcia. Allin tries to goozle Garcia, but Garcia goozles him and lands some chops. Garcia mocks Sting’s howl and locks on the Scorpion Death Lock. Allin fights for all that he is worth, and just as is near the ropes, Garcia brings him back to the middle of the ring. Allin escapes the hold and applies the Death Lock to Garcia! Daniel taps out!
WINNER: Darby Allin
TIME: 13:25
THOUGHTS: Garcia as a heel is more methodical and calculated, and he is the perfect foil for a daredevil like Allin. You knew, though, that with Claudio winning earlier, that Allin was NOT losing here, so that kind of took a little bit of the element of surprise away, at least for me.
RATING: ***1/2

Post-match, PAC is back to assault Allin some more. Orange Cassidy is here to make the save! He fights with PAC, but Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli descend upon the ring. Roderick Strong is here, but he is taken out. Jon Moxley intercepts Kyle O’Reilly at ring side and throw him into the ring. They look to lay a beating on KOR, but Strong is back, and sends the Death Riders scattering like cockroaches when the light is turned on. They make the third match official for Collison between Strong and Moxley.

We will hear from FTR and Stoke next!

FTR are here post-break, out with the best theme song in the business, according to Mr. Peanutbutter, although I don’t see Stoke. Interesting.

Cash will speak first. Last week on Dynamite, they won a 4-way match to become #1 contenders for the tag team championships. You would think they would be over the moon about this, but the fact is that they should have been 3-time champions in London, but Brodido took that away from them. They have a bone to pick with Brodido, but they want to do this man-to-man, face-to-face.

The music plays, but the champions don’t come out. We head to the back to Brodido’s locker room, and we see Big Stoke guarding the door! Stoke says have you ever seen The Wire? Then you know what this is all about.

Dax says gosh darn it to heck, they were looking forward having this meeting in the ring. But they have the second best thing, they have Bandido’s family at ring side.

We see Grandma Bandido, Gravity, and Bandido’s hot sister at ring side. Dax wants to know how old she is, and he thinks she isn’t a day over 120 years old. They know they just celebrated The Day of the Dead, but Sister, you take the cake. He thinks it is admirable that Bandido has become the star that he is today. How proud are you of Bandido?

But Dax thinks that she should be embarrassed to call Bandido and Gravity family. But if you are a good girl, they might adopt her as their own. He wants to seal it with a kiss, but Grandma Bandido slaps him!

Gravity jumps the barricade and tries to fight FTR, but obviously, it’s 2-on-1. We see Stoke in the back, and we see Brody’s hand explode through the door! Stoke comes running out to warn the guys, but Brodido are hot on their heels! FTR and Stoke take off, as Bandido checks on his grandma.

We see This Is All Elite, the new book that came out on Tuesday, as Excalibur shills for it.

The Iceman Dean Malenko narrates a video package for Blood and Guts! Yes!

It’s officially TIMELESS, as Toni Storm is here to commentate on the upcoming match.

Blood and Guts Advantage Match – Women’s Side: Mina Shirakawa vs. Megan Bayne

Realistically, I know that Mina isn’t going to win this match. But I am not always a realist, but I can dream, damn it! Go my Future Ex-Wife!

Wait, Toni just called Mina her wife. I like where this is going lol.

The bell rings, as Toni wants Excalibur to come and commentate on one of her orgies sometime.

I can’t…I just can’t LMAO!

Bayne overpowers Mina to start, but Mina isn’t deterred, as she hits forearms. Mina runs right into Megan, and Megan with a clothesline. She goes for the pin, but Mina slides out and shakes it! Megan don’t like that, and I’m guessing she likes the following kicks and round kick to the head less. Mina off the ropes, she goes around the world, but Megan blocks the Russian Leg Sweep. She misses her clothesline, and Mina dropkicks Bayne out of the ring. Mina goes to the top to the chants of MINA, and she hits a crossbody to Bayne on the floor. She loves Toni, and Toni loves her!

Excalibur: You seem a bit reserved.
Toni: Shut up!
Bryan: And a little bit angry!

Fun and games are over, though, as Mina gets caught in the arms of Megan in the ring, as she hits a fallaway slam as we hit the break.

(Commercials…barf).

Magan sizes up Mina in the corner as we return. Mina moves, however, and hits a rebound enziguri. Drop toe hold by Mina leads to a springboard splash for a two count. Mina with the rolling elbow strike, but the back fist mists, and Megan hits a release German. Both ladies are on the apron. Megan tries a suplex, but Mina fights her off. Mina with a rising knee strike and a snap suplex on the apron!

Mina heads to the top rope, but Megan intercepts her and hits a Superplex. Bayne looking for the Powerbomb, but Megan with a Rana followed by a rolling elbow strike to the neck. Mina to the top with the sling blade! The cover, Megan kicks at two. Mina wants the Glamorous Driver, but we see Marina Shafir sneak up behind Toni and choke her out. This distracts Mina, who gets hit with a flying lariat. Running Liger Bomb finishes it for Megan.
WINNER: Megan Bayne
TIME: 9:30
THOUGHTS: I had no reservations about Mina winning this match, and she gave it her all, but in the end, only one woman has pinned Megan Bayne, and it wasn’t meant to be.
RATING: ***

Post-match, Shafir and Bayne continue to beat up Mina. Here comes Toni with a chair, but the Triangle of Madness are here! They dispatch of the chair and ambush Mina and Toni! Harley, Willow, and Jamie Hayter are here to even things up! Mone is here, but she stops at ring side and tries to leave lol. Kris is here, though, as she attacks Mone. The bad girls head up the ramp, as the good girls hold serve in the ring.

It’s time for a main event showdown!

AEW World Trios’ Titles Match: The Opps (C) vs. AEW World Heavyweight Champion Hangman Adam Page, HOOK, and Eddie Kingston

IDK, guys, given the amount of time left on the show, I’m guessing this might go-home early, or there might be more plodding fuckery. But I am open to being proven wrong, because I always am.

Joe and Page to start us off. ZOINKS! Joe tags out to Shibata lol. It’s a forearm battle in the middle of the ring, as Hangman wins that battle. Shibata misses a running kick, but Hangman doesn’t. Page with forearms in the corner, he whips Shibata, but Shibata follows him in with a running kick. Page gives as good as he gets and pins Shibata for a two count.

HOOK gets the tag, and the fans are behind him! HOOK with a Northern Lights Bridge for a two. Shibata fights back and stomps on HOOK’s hand. Hobbs gets the tag, as he comes face-to-face with HOOK. Hobbs misses the lariat, Hook with some forearms, but Hobbs shuts that down. HE taunts HOOK, picks him up, and hits a backbreaker. Hobbs misses his charge, and HOOK hits an overhead suplex to Hobbs! And with that, we’re heading to our final break!

Joe has Kingston in a bad way with the very dangerous nerve pinch as we return. We see HOOK injured on the floor, as Joe stomps on Kingston and yells like Godzilla. Joe keeps Kingston grounded, Eddie to his feet, he elbows Joe in the gut which I mean, come on. Joe misses his back splash, and Kingston needs a tag in the worst way.

Hangman and Hobbs are in, but Page still has to take care of both Shibata and Hobbs. Page tries a crossbody block, Hobbs catches him, but he Page sneaks out and shoves him into the ring post. Page to the top, thinking Orihara moonsault, Hobbs back in the ring, so Page switches gears and hits Hobbs with it in the ring. Cover for a two count. Blind tag by Kingston, who hits an STO on Hobbs. Joe takes out Kingston, HOOK takes care Hobbs, but Hangman is back looking for Buckshot Lariat. Hobbs pulls him off the ring apron and attacks him up the ramp. He hits a big shoulder tackle, sending Page to the top of the ramp. Rolling elbow strike by Page, BUT HOBBS CATCHES PAGE AND HITS THE STRONGEST SLAM OFF THE STAGE AND THROUGH A TABLE ON THE FLOOR!

Kingston looks dismayed, as he is left to fight Shibata and Joe 2-on-1. Joe holds Kingston, but he moves, and Shibata kicks Joe by accident. Hobbs is back to attack Kingston, but so is HOOK. HOOK tries to put the Red Rum on Hobbs, but he is too beat up to do it. Hobbs puts HOOK in the torture rack as Joe keeps Kingston at bay. HOOK has no choice but to give it up.
WINNER: The Opps (Still Champions)
TIME: 12L00
THOUGHTS: I’m not quite sure how believable a title change was here, but they did tell a good story within the match. A story that features HOOK still not able to measure up to his former Opps mates, and with Hangman and Kingston neutralized, he continued to be the weak link for his team. A decent main event, but more story-driven than action-driven.
