Keep Refreshing For The Latest Results
SICKOS! Ere Members of Honor! It’s me, stepping over from the AEW side to the ROH side of things to bring you tonight’s rendition of Death Before Dishonor! The show might not have been as well promoted as it should have been (or as much as SCOH was), but it certainly should not lack in terms of match quality and variety!
The ROH World Title will be on the line, as Bandido, also 1/2 of the AEW Tag Team Champions, will defend against The Alchemist, Hechicero! The Women’s Title will be on the line, as The Forever Champion, Athena, will look to turn back the challenge from Mina Shirakawa. Lee Moriarty will defend the Pure Title against Xelhua. Paul Walter Hauser will face off with QT Marshall in a fight without honor, and Sammy Guevara will be pulling double duty tonight. First, he’ll team with the Von Erichs to take on Shane Taylor Promotions, and then, before or after that match, Sammy will team with a mystery partner to face The Outrunners. Remember, Dustin Rhodes is out with two bad knees, so rather than vacate the tag titles, this is how it will be.
Also, I am sure we will get more to come tonight, because hey, that is ONLY six matches, so I’m confident we’ll get something else. In might also tie-in with the announcement of the Women’s Pure Title Tourney, but we’re soon to find out!
So, whatever you do, do it with HONOR!

Seeing as to how AEW is currently in a week’s long residency in Philadelphia, tonight’s DBD emanates from the 2300 Arena in South Philly. The master of the Willow Rap, Ian Riccaboni, and one half of the former C&C Dance Factory, Caprice Coleman, will have the call tonight!
So, full disclosure, I’ve been attempting to watch the Zero Hour, and it keeps freezing and sending me back to the main screen. If for some reason this becomes incomplete or it isn’t as thorough as I usually do, that’s my excuse lol.
The video player has crashed on me NINE times now, but I can tell you that The Premier Athletes are in the ring, and they still can’t get the fans to chant ATHLETES RULE! The Collision Cowboy, Hologram, is here in ROH!
Big TOM and Hologram vs. Tony Nese and Ariaya Davari
Okay, we are LIVE (finally). Hologram and Nese struggle for control. Nese takes Hologram to the corner and lands a punch and a chop. Across the ring we go, as Nese jumps over top of Hologram and he does jump jacks lol. Nese with flying head scissors to Hologram, but the Cowboy gives as good as he gets! Nese to his feet, he catches the monkey flip, but he can’t catch the Spanish Fly! The cover, two count for Hologram.
HOLOGRAM chants as he goes to the top, but Smart Mark Sterling gets on the apron! Nese takes advantage and trips up Hologram! Davari from the top, Magic Carpet Ride! Nese back in, the pin for a two count. Both members of the PA beat down Hologram in their corner. Chin lock by Nese in the ring, he gets to his feet, looking for the tag, but that’s cut off. Daivari goes over and slaps Ishii, and I’m sure he saw his life flash in front of his eyes lol. It was a decoy, as Hologram has a roll-up, but Brandon Martinez is distracted. Sterling chokes Hologram against the bottom rope, as Nese gets the tag. ATHLETES…SUCK! Nese with a leg drop from the top rope! Nese goes for the cover, but Martinez won’t count because Hologram is too close to the ropes. Nese chews him out, and tags in Daivari. Another quick tag, and double team punches follow. Hologram stunts on them to FINALLY get Big Tom in the match.
What follows is an athlete’s assassination by Big Tom. Big Top drops Nese on his head and smashes Davari with a lariat. Saito Suplex by Big Tom! The cover, Daivari in to break it up. They both attack Big Tom, as Hologram enters the ring. Hologram ducks both Athletes, and Big Tom and Hologram are trying a double German, but Nese and Daivari hold on for dear life! They finally got the German release. Duo Crossbody into a Brain Buster by the Conglomeration!
And another break in the stream, but we return to see Hologram hitting a triangle dive to the outside on Sterling and Daivari! Back in the ring, Hologram with the kick into the BRAINBUSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAA by Ishii! The cover, the win!
WINNER: The Congomoration
TIME: N/A
THOUGHTS: From what I saw, it was a good PPV opener. Ishii and Hologram winning was the right call, and who knows, with their being one half of a missing ROH Tag Team Champion out of action, maybe these guys can move on for those titles.
RATING: **3/4
Video package highlighting the injury of Dustin Rhodes, and Sammy Guevara agreeing to step in for Dustin and help to defend the 6-Man Titles. That match is next!

IDK, maybe I am crazy, but I feel like the crowd is Pro-STP.

Ross tries AGAIN to get to his corner, but Bravo whips him back to the STP corner. DALLAS SUCKS chants. All these are truth lol. Ross with a jaw breaker to Bravo, he kicks Bravo away again, Marshall in the match.

Up the ladder, enziguri to Dean! SPRINGBOARD CUTTER TO DEAN! Sammy with a moonsault to the outside, but he hits Marshall by mistake! Back in the ring, The Infantry with a double team cutter/back suplex! Elbow by Taylor! FIRE IN THE HOLE! THE PIN, NEW CHAMPIONS!
WINNER: Shane Taylor Promotions
TIME: 13:00
THOUGHTS: The right team won this match, but the heat segment on Ross went on for what seemed like FOREVER. I would say it was shocking to hear the fans behind STP, but then I remember Sammy was on the other side lol.

We get the bracket for the Women’s Pure Title. That first match starts right here, right now!
ROH Women’s Pure Title Quarterfinals Match: Taya Valkyrie w/The MXM Collection and Johnny TV vs. Queen Aminata
So, Pure Rules are exactly like they are for the men, and MXM Collection/Johnny TV will have to head to the back for this one.
Code of Honor is adhered to, and the match is underway. AMINATA chants, and I noticed that there is a ten-minute time limit. Huh, that’s interesting. Aminata takes Taya to the ropes, and she uses a rope break.

Both women to their feet, and they trade forearms. Taya with a kick, but Aminata with a slap to the headlights of Taya! Another one in the corner! A third one, but Taya covers up and Aminata with a snap suplex instead. Well, Ian just said that this is a 60-minute time limit, not a 10-minute limit. That’s just another goof by the company tonight.
Taya has used her final rope break.
Aminata has a hammer lock on, but the rope break won’t do anything for Taya. HEADBUTT BY THE QUEEN! And she’s moving on!
WINNER: Queen Aminata
TIME: 7:30
THOUGHTS: A fairly good match. Taya didn’t understand the rules, but The Queen did, and she used them to her advantage. Her win also comes on the heels of having to come back home after her passport was stolen.
RATING: ***1/4
Post-Match Deonna Purazzo is here! She enters the ring and gets in the face of the Queen. The Queen wants a handshake, and she pulls Aminata in close. Deonna leaves the ring, leaving the Queen to give her the one finger. This was a segment. Also, I guess the Vendetta isn’t a thing anymore?
Lexy Nair is in the back outside the Sons of Texas locker room. She is trying to find out who will be the tag team partner for Sammy tonight. Apparently, whoever Sammy does choose, the other brother will support him. Aw, how nice!
HOLY CRAP, THE KINGDOM ARE STILL A THING!

Taven with a lariat to Christian, springboard kick to Christian. Blake hits Taven between the uprights, double team Driver into the double stomp in the ring, and the Swirl win!
WINNER: The Swirl
TIME: 11:30
THOUGHTS: It is refreshing to see Johnson and Christian actually win a match in ROH, since they usually do the deal in AEW. A high-quality match, and the Kingdom putting over the Swirl is a nice touch.

WINNER: QT Marshall
TIME: 20:35
THOUGHTS: First of all, props to Hauser, I know he has wrestled in MLW before, but they made it seem like he never wrestled before, and he showed up here. Second of all, the fans were entertaining with their chants. As for the match itself, well, we shouldn’t be getting a 20-minute plus QT Marshall match in the year 2025, especially against an actor/part time wrestler. The flow of the match was disjointed, and it got off to such a gosh darn friendly start despite the animosity between them. You can make hardcore matches good and entertaining, and this wasn’t it, brother.
RATING: **
Post-Match, Hauser feigns being ready to continue the fight. Marshall fist bumps him, tussles his hair, and takes his leave. Hauser leaves the ring and celebrates with fans on his way up the ramp.
Ian and Caprice recap what has taken place so far tonight, and they promote some matches on the upcoming Collision and Dynamite shows.
The ROH Tag Team Title match is up next!

No code of honor for this one, as Guevara and Truth Magnum to start. Sammy wrestles Truth to the corner and taunts him. He sits up in the corner. Sammy hooks the ropes to avoid a Magnum dropkick, and he struts. Magnum doesn’t appreciate this, as he hits a clothesline and a dropkick. Turbo Floyd and RUSH in now. THE HERNS HAVE BEEN GIVEN! Sammy wants the tag, though. He goes to the top and hits a Swanton Bomb for the win.
WINNER: Sammy Guevara and RUSH (New Champions)
TIME: 12:45
THOUGHTS: I was definitely surprised that RUSH came out to be the partner for Sammy. But they worked great as a team, and Sammy going back to being a douchebag heel is what’s best for business. The Outrunners should have won this match, but their day will come soon, for they are still very young!
RATING: ***1/2
Post-match, Dralistico is here. He shakes hands and embraces Sammy and RUSH. The Von Erichs are here. They want to know what is going on, Sammy says that they are family, just like you guys. But Sammy hits a superkick to Marshall, and RUSH and Dralistico jump Ross!

THOUGHTS: If I told you that this match was responsible for changing my mind about the quality of this show, would that be a surprise? Well, it shouldn’t be, considering the men involved in the match. As methodical as it was high-flying as it was brutal, it had everything going for it, and despite nearly going 37 minutes, it never felt like there was a wasted second in it. Hechicero is All-World, and Bandido can simply do no wrong.
RATING: ****1/2

THOUGHTS: The last two matches of the show reminded me of that Gatorade commercial, the one that went, “Anything you can do, I can do better”. The men went out and killed it in the semi-main, but the women also went out and killed it in the main event. While I am so very upset that my future Ex-Wife lost this match, you cannot deny the record setting tenure of Athena in ROH. She isn’t the Forever Champion for no reason, after all.
RATING: ****1/4
