Impact Zone! It’s Thursday, which means that we are in a brand-new edition of the delight known as Impact Wrestling! Tonight, will be the go-home show for Lockdown, emanating this Sunday from Chicago, Illinois! But before we get there, we have business to take care of in the city of Brotherly Love before we make that trip to the cage! Tonight’s episode of Impact will determine a couple of things, chief among them being Knockout who makes it to the Finals of the Knockouts Television Title Tourney, who gets the advantage going into Lethal Lockdown, and who gets the momentum from their 8-man tag heading Sunday.
For more on this and everything else, let’s roll out the Headlines!
So, how is everyone doing on this Thursday Evening? I usually don’t like to promote myself or my work on here, but after crafting my first preview of a TNA show for Slammiversary back in June, I implore everyone to check out my preview for Lockdown. Usually, these are posted Saturday evening/super early Sunday morning, and if you check it out, I would greatly appreciate it!
But enough about me and enough about you, let’s get ready to brace for Impact!

Tonight’s episode of Impact is LIVE (To Tape!) from the Liacouras Center in the city of Brotherly Love! Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt are on the call!
Package of highlights from last week’s show, in case you forgot!
No intro tonight, as we get a view of the city of Philadelphia as the Order-4 music plays in the background. Camera cut, and Order-4 are in the ring. Ali has the mic. Citizens of TNA! He humbly requests that we all remain silent while he speaks. We have a problem. We have a crisis. We have a state of emergency. A few weeks ago, we crowned a new TNA International Champion, and his name is Jason Hotch. He was able to do this LIVE on AMC in front of everyone here in Philadelphia and with his family here.
The problem is that Hotch is not a good man. He’s not even the man of his own house. Ali is the man of his house. The toys that his daughter plays with is because of him. The clothes on his wife’s body are because of him. And after all that he did for Hotch, he has the audacity to stab him in the back! Ali repeats, Jason stabbed him in the back. YOU DESERVED IT chants. Ali says no, he didn’t, and he wants loyalty.
He starts with John Skyler. You were once his most aggressive attack dog. And now he wonders where his loyalty lies. He spoke to Daria Rae, and tonight, Skyler will FIGHT Hotch! But John isn’t competing for the title, no, he’s competing for something more important, loyalty! In God we Trust, and Ali we believe!
Cut to the back where Hotch is watching the TV. Gia Miller appears, and she parrots what we just saw. Hotch doesn’t know if he can explain it. John is his best friend; his daughter calls him Uncle John. Ali thinks he makes the rules, but he talks too much (shoutout to MAFFEW!) and Jason is not fighting his brother. The Suit wonders over, and she says Jason will fight John tonight, or she will strip him of his title and suspend him. SHUTUPIMTALKING!
It’s time to dance with Rich (And BDE!) The nerd known as the Personal Concierge is out to call the fans a bunch of corpses. Okay. But he wants to introduce someone who smells great and looks elegant, Mr. Elegance!
Rich Swann w/BDE vs. Mr. Elegance w/The Elegance Brand
The bell rings, early lock-up, Mr. E hits a shoulder tackle. He goes running, leapfrogs from both men, Swann scores with a dropkick. Maggie is on the apron, and Heather hits a satellite DDT to Swann behind Ref Paige’s back! BDE yells but does nothing lol. Elegance rips at the ears of Swann because sure, why not.
Swann to the top, but he’s hit in the back of the head by the Swimmer. Elegance screams at Swann and hits a snap suplex. Elegance keeps hold and applies a stalling vertical suplex. The PC reported that was held for seven days and seven nights. The pin for a two. Elegance applies a chinlock while Heather and Maggie tell everyone too SHUDDUP! Rich to his feet, but the Elegant one with knees to the gut. Swann off the ropes, but Elegance pops him up into an uppercut.
Mr. Elegance scores with an overhead suplex and a running clothesline for a two. Elegance screams like he is Tarzan and jumps on top of Swann and lays in knee strikes. Swann cuts off Elegance with boots, he knocks him down, and he rolls into a flying clothesline! Swann with the Road Dogg punches and shake. A backfist and hook kick from Swann followed by the rolling splash for a two.
Elegance to the floor, but he snaps Swann’s face off the top rope. Elegance in with the double knees for a two. DO YOU WANT SOME MORE, screams Elegance like a lunatic. Elegance looks to finish it, but Swann with the rolling prawn hold for the win! BAH GAWD, HIS STREAK IS OVER!
WINNER: You can’t handle Rich!
TIME: 5:40
THOUGHTS: I’ve given some grief to Mr. Elegance for being a goof, but he’s putting it together in the ring and living the gimmick. I am quite surprised that Swann won here, but now it’ll be interesting to see how The Swimmer spirals from here.
RATING: ***1/4
Post-match, Mr. Elegance pouts like a child who had his phone taken away, and the Righteous appear on the ramp to stare at BDE.
Tom and Matt run down the matches for later tonight. The Semifinals in the KO TV Title Tourney is coming up, next!
BREAK IN PROGRESS!
We get the graphic for the complete TV Title tourney when we return. Tom again for the 1,000th time reminds us that the title will only be defended on Impact.
Holy crap, Heather sure got changed in a hurry for this match! Good for her!
Knockouts TV Title Semifinals Tourney Match: Heather by Elegance vs. Jada Stone
The bell rings, and Jada gets distracted by Maggie. Stone catches Heather though with a roll-up for a two. Heather with a roll-up for a two. Exchanges and reversals lead to a head scissor from Stone. Heather moves out of the way of her clothesline, but Stone with a Shining Wizard for a two. Stone heads to the top, but Heather trips her up, and she shows us that she is very smart.
Heather chokes out Jada, slaps her, and takes time to prance around. Heather attempts to stomp Jada through the corner of the ring. Heather looking suplex, Jada tries to fight it off, but she can’t. Stone kicks out at two. Heather with the boot choke against the ropes and the beating continues in the corner. Strong hammer throw by Heather, who takes time to laugh and pose over a down Jada.
Heather throws down Jada by the hair, and the ref is all okay. Heather uses Jada’s arms to choke her out. Hammer throw by Heather, but Jada escapes and she lays in the clotheslines. Jada cartwheels away and kicks Heather in the side of the head. Split=legged moonsault from Stone, but Heather kicks out at two.
Stone looking for the Spark Stunner, but Heather ends up catching her in the ropes. Heather to the top, but Jada moves and she gets a crucifix for a two. Pin attempts galore break out before Stone hits a double stomp to Heather. Both ladies end up on the apron and they trade strikes. Jada takes over, but Heather stops a piledriver attempt. Heather with a German on the apron!
Heather takes way too long, and she runs into a snap Rana off the apron and to the floor! Maggie losses her mind as both ladies struggle to get to their feet. The ref counts and both ladies make it into the ring. Heather returns to the ring only to eat the Spark Stunner and Jada is moving on!
WINNER: The Stone named Jada!
TIME: 7:40
THOUGHTS: Honestly kind of surprised that Jada won here, but I’m glad that she is getting the push. It does dash the hopes for an all-Elegance Brand finals though, and that seems unforgiveable.
RATING: ***1/4
Elayna Black is on a Skype call. She can’t believe Santino is making her do this, and we hear her ring someone up. Xia Brookside appears on the other side of the screen. Xia says she has some nerve to call her after what she did last week. Elayna says she was just having some harmless fun, but in her hometown of Chicago, she is taking the title. Xia says that Black thinks that she is the best Knockout of all-time, and she is lying to everyone including herself. Her entire family is going to show up to Lockdown, and they will watch her fail. Xia signs off, and Elayna says she can’t wait to shut this bitch up.
Brian Myers and Fabian Aichner will face off to see who has the advantage in Lethal Lockdown, next!
BREAK IN PROGRESS!
Mr. Elegance talks! He can’t believe the streak is over! Heather says she is upset that she lost. The Personal Concierge calms them down. He says that they will win the Knockouts tag team titles back, he has to be pointed toward Maggie, and he tells her that she will be the first ever TV Champion. THE EMPIRE IS THERES!
Fabian Aichner makes his way to the ring, meaning that Brian Myers doesn’t get one lol.
For Lethal Lockdown advantage: Brian Myers vs. Fabian Aichner
Myers attacks before the bell and takes it to Aichner. He admires his pristine handiwork before stomping down Aichner and throwing him across the ring. Aichner fights back and scoops up Myers before clobbering him with a forearm. Myers to the floor, Aichner with the baseball slide. Off the ropes comes Fabian for a springboard crossbody!
During the break, Aichner returns Myers to the ring and takes Brian to every corner. Tom insists that he is “exploring every corner of Philadelphia.” Mounted punches from Aichner into the pin for a two. Aichner with a vertical suplex for another two. Both men struggle on the apron, but Myers ends up hitting a SUPERKICK, sending Fabian to the floor. Myers rolls back into the ring and wants the count out victory, but Aichner makes the valiant roll in at nine.
Myers has to come off of his Shawn Michaels corner pose to attack some more. Snapmare into the Davey Boy Smith approved chinlock. Aichner fights his way free, but Myers with the Harley Race knee for a two. Myers scoops up Aichner for a belly to back suplex for another two.
We’re back officially, as Myers is going back to the chinlock. Aichner to his feet, he gains speed running the ropes and goes CROSSBODY SMASH into Myers! Aichner with strikes, springboard crossbody, and Fabian is hyped! Rolling Senton into the triple jump moonsault for a two. Myers goes to the shins, thrust kick, Implant DDT, but Fabian kicks out at two.
Myers looking for the Roster Cut, but Aichner kicks him square in the face and he is thrown out of the ring. Aichner jumps to the top and crowns Myers with a crossbody on the floor! Myers is rolled back into the ring, Aichner with the DDT for a two. Aichner with the overhead suplex into La Fina! Tom lets us know that all seconds are banned from ringside, which I think that is the FIRST time ANYONE said ANYTHING about it. Myers gets his finger on the rope to break the hold, and he rolls to the arena floor. Aichner back in the ring, but Myers kicks the rope into his balls! SPEAR by Myers, but Aichner kicks out at 2.5!
Myers looking for the Roster Cut, but both men almost run into the ref. Myers uses this to kick Aichner in the balls AGAIN! Roster Cut officially, and the System have the advantage going into Lethal Lockdown!
WINNER: Curt Hawkins Brian Myers
TIME: 11:20
THOUGHTS: Is it really surprising that the heels would have the advantage going into Lethal Lockdown? I’m more surprised this match was agreed upon to have no interference. This match was alright.
RATING: ***1/4
It’s time for the TNA Injury Report, brought to us by A-Game!
Graphic shows for Hotch and Skyler, next!
BREAK IN PROGRESS!
Apparently, Knockouts calling each other over Skype is all the rave tonight, as we see Harley Hudson calling Traci Brooks. Hudson understands that if she losses tonight, she will be out of TNA, and she doesn’t know what to do. Brooks wants to remind her that she a Knockout for a reason. They gave you the contract because they believe in you, and the fans believe in you, so does Traci. Harley thanks her for the nice words, and all she has to do now is go out and win her match against Alisha Edwards.
John Skyler is in the ring ready to face Jason Hotch! Jason makes his entrance to some kick ass music, and he gets a mic. Jason wants John to know that he is his best friend, and he opened his home to him, and John has to him as well. He knows that John’s hand has been forced, and so has his, because he will lose his title if he doesn’t compete. But they can give the great fans of Philadelphia a wrestling match, and show them what TNA is all about.
TNA International Champion Jason Hotch vs. John Sklyer
This is a non-title match, as Skyler is only competing for “pride and loyalty.”
The bell rings and we get a handshake. Wrist control to start this one, Skyler fires off Hotch, but he hits a shoulder tackle. Pins are quickly traded. Another handshake, and both men look for a test of strength. Headlock from Skyler, Hotch runs the ropes and snaps off a Rana. Head scissor from Hotch, reversal by Skyler, and John hits a shoulder tackle.
Skyler goes for arm control, and we see Order-4 watching in the back. Mila Moore appears on the apron, and she tells John this wasn’t the assignment, he was supposed to come out and fight Hotch. The Order-4 music hits, and here comes the Secret Service. Hotch dispatches of them, but Special Agent Zero runs over Skylar and that is a DQ.
WINNER: Top Notch Hotch via DQ
TIME: 3:00
THOUGHTS: More angle than match, which was to be expected. Hotch and Skyler weren’t going to actually beat the crap out of each other.
RATING: N/R
Post-match, Ali gets into the ring, and he talks that mad smack to Hotch. He picks up the International Title, poses with it, and then drops it on Hotch as they leave.
ABRUPT BREAK IN PROGRESS TO BE ABRUPT!
Video package from the Righteous post-break. Vincent and Dutch try to talk their form of sense into the head of BDE, telling him that all he has to do is remove Rich Swann. Do you believe in the numbers, because they do. For they are the Righteous, and we are the many! Dig what they’re saying, man?
Well, at least Alisha is here to wrestle and not talk lol. The Suit Daria Rae is here on commentary.
Alisha Edwards W/Eddie vs. Harley Hudson
The bell rings, and the ladies come face-to-face. Alisha talks that mad smack, and Harley rolls her up for a two. Alisha continues the smack talk and she slaps Hudson. Harley with a shoulder tackle and a unique roll-up for a two. Another roll-up for a two. Jawbreaker from Hudson, and she drapes Edwards over the apron.
Alisha ends up on the floor, and Eddie draws away Harley’s attention so his ride or die can attack from behind. Alisha rolls Harley back into the ring and continues to insult her. Alisha with chops and boot choking in the corner. Alisha lines up Harley and hits a back splash. Corner crossbody from Alisha gets her a two.
Edwards with body shots and she yells at us. Harley fires up with forearms despite Eddie trying to trip her up. Alisha throws Harley down to the mat by her hair and pins her for a two. Daria says that since she got here, ticket sales have gone up, and they are the best that they have ever been. Yeah, alright.
Hudson fires back with a clothesline and repeat corner knees. Big suplex from Hudson and Harley is fired up! Edwards rakes the eyes of Hudson and she hits the Delish, but Hudson kicks out at two. Eddie matches Alisha in the annoyance category. Alisha tells Harley she is not a Knockout, and she earns a big slap for that. Alisha goes for a double under hook, but Hudson reverses and rolls up Alisha for the win!
WINNER: The Pink haired wonder!
TIME: 6:25
THOUGHTS: I’m really surprised that Alisha got as much in this match as she did. I know she’s more established and is going into Lethal Lockdown on Sunday, but the story was built around Harley coming out and getting the win here, not catching hands for 85% of it before she pulled it out in the bottom of the ninth. At any rate, I’m glad that she did win.
RATING: **3/4
Post-match, sore loser Alisha attacks from behind. Eddie holds up Harley so Alisha can lay her out, but here comes The Stone! Jada ducks Eddie hits a SUPERKICK to Alisha, and forces Eddie to run out of the ring giving chase. Stone helps Hudson up, and Daria is not happy, probably because Tom didn’t SHUT UP WHEN SHE WAS TALKING!
BREAK IN PROGRESS FROM OUTTA NOWHERE!
Video package for Cedric Alexander and Leon Slater. It is a highlight buffet going back to May 14th, where Prime defeated Leon for the title in a 2-out-of-3 falls match, to the here and now.
The guys hype the Hardy Party this Saturday in Milwaukee and then in Chicago this Sunday. It’s time to run down the matches for Lockdown, including a pair of matches on Before the Bell between the Righteous and Rich Swann/BDE, and Trey Miguel facing Special Agent Zero. Great, looks like I have more work to do. Thanks, guys!
Speaking of people involved at Lockdown on Sunday, the main event is here! But before that, it’s time for another break! Tonight’s “Matter of Fact” states that Matt Hardy has more friends than Nic Nemeth, AJ Francis, and Frankie Kazarian combined!
BREAK IN PROGRESS!
TNA World Tag Team Champions the Hardys, Moose, and Elijah vs. TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth, Ryan Nemeth, A.J. Francis, and Frankie Kazarian
Jeff Hardy and Kazarian to start this one. Frankie with kicks to the gut, he calls Jeff a SONOFABITCH, and he gets smacked in the face lol. Stalling corner dropkick from Hardy and a standing splash for a two. Moose tags in, as does Ryan Nemeth. Ryan gets chopped and he gets taken to the babyface corner. Elijah with the tag, and he chops the skin off of Ryan’s chest.
Elijah winds up Ryan’s arm and sends him to the corner where he smashes him. Elijah goes walking and comes down onto the shoulder of Ryan. Elijah with a variation of the F-5, but the heels make the save. That leads to four corner DELETION from the faces, as they hold serve in the ring!
Someone (I think it was Frankie) throws something into the ring, as the ref picks it up and yells at him. WE WANT TABLES chants, as Tom says it makes sense that the Philly Phans would chant for tables. Matt calls them degenerates, and Tom agrees lol. Elijaj goes to oblige the fans, but Ryan attacks him. Ryan wants to tag in his big brother, but Kazarian is in instead. Elijah with the back body drop, and the faces gang up on Kazarian.
Elijah and Matt sendoff Frankie for a double back elbow. Elijah walks the ropes again and he comes down on Frankie’s shoulder. Elijah off the ropes, Francis grabs him by his hair, and Kazarian with a dropkick. Frankie again calls Jeff a SONOFABITCH and he does a snap mare into a cravat on Elijah. AJ SUCKS chants, and Francis is all like WTF lol. Elijah gets back to his feet, but Frankie shuts him down. Elijah fires back with a sit-down chokeslam!
Moose and Nic Nemeth get the tags, and Moose with the headbutt straight away. Moose smashes Nic in the corner, here comes Ryan to eat the Urinage and back splash. Nic to the top rope, but Moose grabs him and hits Go to Hell for a two. Tag to Matt Hardy, Hardy wants Moose to use him for Poetry in Motion! Matt: Poetry in MOOTION. Side Effect from Matt for a two. Ryan distracts Matt, allowing Nic to hit the SUPERKICK!
Nic tags in his little brother, who abuses the face of one Matthew Hardy. Kazarian with the tag, and he beats up on Matt. Frankie mocks the Twist of Fate, but Matt sends Frankie off and they collide with matching clotheslines. Kazarian stops Matt from making the tag, and Francis is in now. The fans REALLY love AJ lol. Francis smashes Matt in the heel’s corner. Francis corners Matt so he can hit the Tennessee Whiskey.
The heels do a really weird form of celebration lol. Francis back in the ring, and he knocks all of Matt’s partners off the apron. AJ with the World’s Strongest Slam to Matt. Not content, he puts Matt on the top rope. Matt fights his way free, AVALANCHE SIDE EFFECT! Matt finally tags in Jeff, who attacks both Nemeth Brothers. Ryan eats the VINTAGE Jeffrey Nero Hardy offense! Jeff to the top and he hits both Nic and Ryan with Whisper in the Wind!
Kazarian attacks Jeff, so Moose kicks Kazarian from the ring. TFL from Francis to Jeff! The cover, but Elijah makes the save. Down Payment, no, big knee from Elijah! Matt with the Twist of Fate to AJ! Jeff to the top, his shirt comes off, Swanton Bomb! The pin, and the good guy’s win!
WINNERS: The GOATS, the Moose, and the Drifter!
TIME: 14:20
THOUGHTS: Fun main event. Some good heat spots and everyone got a chance to shine in this one. Do the babyfaces getting the win here spell disaster for them on Sunday?
RATING: ***3/4
Post-match, the babyfaces celebrate. The show is heading to a close, but Matt says he got word something happened in the back, and we see Cedric Alexander is laid out in the back. Apparently, we have a stalker!
