Welcome to 411’s WWE Royal Rumble 2026 Report. Today’s Countdown Show panelists are Michael Cole, Big E, Wade Barrett, and CM Punk. The panelists break down the entire card and then discuss AJ Styles’ legacy. We head to a video package for Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn followed by a video package of the greatest moments in Royal Rumble history. Next up is a sit-down interview with Sami Zayn, and then the panelists break down Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn for the WWE Championship. The Countdown Show finishes up with the panelists making their picks for the night.

Women’s Royal Rumble Match

Charlotte Flair is #1. Alexa Bliss is #2. Flair and Bliss stare at each other, each unsure if they can go to war with their friend. Bliss seems content to wait for #3 and double team them, but Flair points to the WrestleMania sign and contemplates attacking Bliss. Flair takes Bliss up top but then carefully brings her back down to the mat. Bliss goes for Sister Abigail but can’t pull the trigger. Flair goes for the Figure Eight but can’t bring herself to lock it in. Flair and Bliss resolve to simply wait for #3 together. Kiana James is #3. James goes after both Flair and Bliss, but Flair and Bliss work together to quickly regain control. Nia Jax is #4. Jax storms into the ring and levels both Flair and Bliss. Jax hits Bliss with a Samoan Drop and then does the same to Flair. James lands a kick to Jax and then posts her in the corner. Ivy Nile is #5. Nile lands a spinning kick to Jax’ jaw and goes for a power slam, but Jax blocks and then works her over in the corner. Lola Vice is #6. Vice cleans house and works over Bliss in the corner. Nile goes for a clothesline, but Vice ducks and counters with a spinning back elbow shot. Jax levels Flair and James with a double clothesline. James fights back to her feet and hits Jax with a Samoan Drop. Candice LeRae is #7. LeRae tries to form an alliance with Jax, but Jax is having none of it. Jordynne Grace is #8. Grace catches James with a spinebuster and then eliminates both Vice and LeRae. Grace dumps Nile onto the top rope and then knocks her off the apron for another elimination. Jax works over Grace in the corner and then tries to powerbomb Bliss to the outside, but Flair helps flip Jax onto the apron. Bliss and Jax brawl on the apron. Flair kicks Jax off the apron to eliminate her, but Jax grabs Bliss and pulls her off the apron to eliminate Bliss as well. Becky Lynch is #9. Lynch immediately square off with Flair, and they begin brawling in the middle of the ring. Lynch and Flair roll under the bottom rope and to the outside, but they have not been formally eliminated. Sol Ruca is #10. Ruca cleans house and then slugs it out with Grace. Roxanne Perez is #11. storms into the ring and levels Ruca. Perez slaps Lynch across the face. Maxxine Dupri is #12. Dupri levels Lynch and then goes after all of the other competitors. Nattie is #13. Nattie takes down Dupri and goes for a scoop slam, but Dupri counts into an ankle lock. Lynch catches Dupri with a Manhandle Slam and then eliminates her. Lynch tries to quickly eliminate Nattie as well, but Nattie turns the table and eliminates Lynch instead. Liv Morgan is #14. Morgan hits James with Oblivion and follows up with Three Amigos to Ruca. Flair drops Morgan and Perez with a double clothesline. Lash Legend is #15. Lash catches Bliss and James with a double choke slam and then levels Ruca with a big boot. Legend slams Perez, but Grace dumps Legend onto the apron. Legend lifts Grace onto her shoulders and then throws her to the floor for the elimination. Zelena is #16. Zelina works over the field as chaos continues in all corners of the ring. Raquel Rodriguez is #17. Rodriguez teams up with Morgan and Perez to eliminate James. Chelsea Green is #18. Green immediately gets triple-teamed by Morgan, Rodriguez, and Perez. Alba Fyre tries to make the save but is quickly dispatched by Rodriguez. Guilia is #19. Guilia charges into the ring as Green almost gets eliminated, but Fyre gets on her hands and knees next to the ring so that Green can stand on her back and avoid elimination. Iyo Skye is #20. Skye cleans house and points to the WrestleMania sign. Asuka is #21. Asuka squares off with Sky and Guilia, but Guilia teams up with Asuka to double team Sky. Ria Ripley is #22. Ripley goes after all three members of the Judgment Day as Guilia and Zelina brawl on the apron. Guilia eliminates Zelina as Ripley eliminates Green. Perez goes for Pop Rox, but Ripley counters into a Razor’s Edge to the outside for the elimination. Bayley is #23. Bayley dumps Morgan to the apron but can’t get the elimination. Flair brawls with Bayley in the middle of the ring. Jacy Jayne is #24. Jayne catches Bayley with a neck breaker and lands a back elbow shot to Rodriguez. Jayne levels Morgan with a kick to the jaw and blocks a suplex from Ruca. Ripley and Nattie brawl in the middle of the ring, and Nattie levels Ripley with a clothesline. Rodriguez and Nattie tumble to the apron, and Morgan hits a modified Oblivion to slingshot Nattie to the floor for the elimination. Nikki Bella is #25. Bella levels Jayne and catches Rodriguez with a tornado DDT. Lyra Valkyria is #26. Valkyria drops Morgan with a head kick and then takes down both Bella and Flair with a double springboard crossbody. Guilia locks in a modified Octopus on Valkyria, but Valkyria dumps Guilia to the apron. Bayley comes to Valkyria’s rescue and helps her eliminate Guilia. Kelani Jordan is #27. Jordan levels Morgan and Rodriguez with a double DDT. Kairi Sane is #28. Sane goes after Valkyria and then takes down Bayley. Sane goes for a low clothesline to Sky, but Sky slides out of the way, and Sky inadvertently knocks Asuka off the apron for the elimination. Sky then quickly eliminates Sane as well. BRIE BELLA IS #29. Holy crap!!! The Bellas are back together!!! Tiffany Stratton is #30. We have 14 women in the ring as Stratton squares off with Flair. The Bella Twins double team Rodriguez and then turn their attention to Stratton. The Bella Twins eliminate both Bayley and Valkyria before squaring off with Ripley and Sky. Jane eliminates Jordan but immediately eats a Sol Snatcher. Ruca eliminates Jane as Legend eliminates both Bellas. Flair dumps Legend to the apron, but Ruca then dumps Flair to the apron. Legend lands a big boot to Flair for the elimination. Stratton and Ruca go after Legend as Ripley and Sky brawl with Morgan and Rodriguez. Legend levels Ripley, but Sky drags her to the apron. Sky and Legend brawl on the apron, but Legend kicks Sky to the floor for another elimination. Legend squares off with Rodriguez and hits a fallaway slam. Ripley charges at Legend and finally eliminates her with a clothesline. Rodriguez goes for a Tejana Bomb over the top rope and drops Ripley HARD on the apron. Ripley bounces off the apron and to the floor for the elimination. Ripley hit the apron really hard there. Morgan sneaks up behind Rodriguez and eliminates her friend. The final three are Morgan, Stratton, and Ruca. All three women end up on the apron. Stratton knocks Ruca out of the corner for the elimination, and then Morgan hits a modified Oblivion to eliminate Stratton and win the match.

Match Result: Liv Morgan wins the Women’s Royal Rumble, last eliminating Tiffany Stratton.

AJ Styles vs. Gunther

Styles ducks a clothesline and lands a calf kick. Styles grabs Gunther’s leg, but Gunther muscles Styles to the corner to force the break. Gunther locks in a side head lock and drags Styles down to the mat. Styles fights back to his feet and levels Gunther with a drop kick. Gunther kicks Styles to the floor and drops him back-first on the announce table. Gunther whips Styles hard into the barricade before the action returns to the ring. Gunther locks in a Boston crab, and it looks like Style’s forearm was cut open at some point on the outside. Styles fights back to his feet and levels Gunther with a Pelé kick. Styles connects with a neck breaker but only gets a two count. Styles sets up for the Styles Clash, but Gunther blocks. Gunther drops Styles with a clothesline and gets a two count of his own. Gunther lands a chop to the chest and follows up with a drop kick to the corner. Gunther hits a power bomb and gets another two count. Styles fights back and locks in the Calf Crusher, but Gunther reverses into a sleeper. Styles rolls into a sleeper of his own before dumping Gunther to the outside. Styles hits a Phenomenal Forearm to the outside and knocks Gunther to the floor. Styles rolls Gunther back into the ring and heads up top. Gunther heads up top with Styles, but Styles slides through the legs and hits a powerbomb for a two count. Styles heads to the apron and hits a springboard 450 splash. Styles this the Styles Clash, but Gunther kicks out two. Styles heads back out to the apron and goes for the Phenomenal Forearm, but Gunther goes for a sleeper, but Styles reverses into a sleeper of his own. Gunther grabs the referee and low blows Styles with a mule kick while the referee is out of position. Gunther works over Styles in the corner and chops him down to the mat. The referee checks on Styles, but Gunther goes right back to the corner chops. Styles fights back to his feet and turns the tide on Gunther in the corner. Styles goes for the Phenomenal Forearm, but Gunther catches Styles on his shoulder and transitions into a sleeper. Gunther drags Styles down to the mat in the sleeper, but Styles fights back to his feet. Gunther reapplies the sleeper and drags Styles back down to the mat. Styles tries to make it to the ropes, but Gunther lands more elbow shots to the head. Gunther locks in the sleeper one more time. The referee checks on Styles, and Styles can’t respond, so the referee calls for the bell. AJ Styles’ career is over.

Match Result: Gunther defeats AJ Styles with the sleeper.

WWE Championship Match
Drew McIntyre (Champion) vs. Sami Zayn

McIntyre takes control as soon as the bell rings and beats Zayn to the mat. Zayn fights back to his feet, heads up top, and connects with a diving ax handle. Zayn dumps McIntyre to the outside and lands a dive onto McIntyre on the outside. Zayn looks to have injured his lower back on the dive, so McIntyre takes advantage and slams Zayn’s lower back into the ring apron. McIntyre rolls Zayn back into the ring and whips him hard to the corner. McIntyre whips Zayn to the corner and catches him with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker on the rebound. McIntyre takes Zayn up top, but Zayn counters into a sunset flip powerbomb for a two count. Zayn goes for the Blue Thunder Bomb, but his back won’t allow it. McIntyre goes for the Claymore, but Zayn blocks and successfully hits the Blue Thunder Bomb for a two count. Zayn and McIntyre slug it out in the middle of the ring, but McIntyre levels Zayn with a Glasgow Kiss. McIntyre again goes for a Claymore, but Zayn slides out of the way and catches McIntyre in a crucifix pin for another two count. McIntyre heads up top with Zayn and hits White Noise from the second rope for a two count of his own. Zayn goes for a backslide pin, but McIntyre counters into three consecutive Future Shock DDTs. McIntyre makes the cover, but Zayn miraculously kicks out at two. McIntyre lands a series of clothesline in the corner. Zayn tries to fight back with the Helluva Kick, but McIntyre ducks and hits the Claymore. McIntyre makes the cover, but Zayn gets his foot on the ropes to break the count. McIntyre gets in the referee’s face, but that gives Zayn the chance to hit the Helluva Kick for a looong two count. The action spills to the outside, and McIntyre powerbombs Zayn through the announce table. McIntyre rolls Zayn back into the ring and stomps on his back. McIntyre tells Zayn to stay down, but Zayn connects with an Exploder suplex into the corner. McIntyre fights back with a Claymore but doesn’t go for the pin. McIntyre hits a second Claymore and finally get the three count.

Match Result: Drew McIntyre defeats Sami Zayn with the Claymore.

Men’s Royal Rumble Match

Oba Femi is #1. Bron Breakker is #2. Someone in a black hoodie attacks Breakker and delivers a Stomp before Breakker even gets in the ring. The masked attacker rolls Breakker into the ring, the bell rings, and Femi immediately eliminates him. The identity of the masked attacker was never revealed. Solo Sikoa is #3. Sikoa climbs into the ring and squares off with Femi. Femi levels Sikoa with a shoulder tackle and follows up with a scoop slam. Femi lands a running uppercut in the corner. Rey Mysterio is #4. Mysterio heads up top and connects with a diving seated senton to Sikoa. Mysterio goes for the 619, but Sikoa lifts Mysterio onto his shoulder, but Femi levels Sikoa with a big boot. Rusev is #5. Rusev connects with a drop kick to Femi, but Femi quickly regains control and eliminates Rusev. Femi eliminates Sikoa but then eats a 619 from Mysterio. Femi eliminates Mysterio and stands alone in the ring. Matt Cardona is #6. Femi levels Cardona with a clothesline and follows up with a powerbomb. Femi tosses Cardona to the outside and once again stands alone in the ring. Damian Priest is #7. Priest slugs it out with Femi in the middle of the ring, but Femi levels him with a clothesline. Priest lands a kick to the jaw and a back elbow shot in the corner. Priest levels Femi with a clothesline, but Femi blocks a second clothesline. Je’Von Evans is #8. Evans goes for a cutter, but Femi catches him. Evans leaps over Femi and levels Priest. Mr. Iguana is #9. Iguana catches Evans with a tornado DDT. Priest delivers a double choke slam to Mr. Iguana and his Iguana. Trick Williams is #10. Williams cleans house, and Mr. Iguana gets eliminated in the process. Cody Rhodes is #11. Rhodes lands a punch to Wiliams and catches Evans with a power slam. Rhodes slugs it out with Femi in the middle of the ring. El Grande Americano is #12. Americano dumps Evans on the top rope. El Grande Americano Original is #13! Americano and Americano Original point at each other in the middle of the ring before Americano Original delivers a gorgeous German suplex to Americano. Americano Original eliminates Americano, but Williams quickly eliminates Americano Original as well. Rhodes follows up by eliminating Williams, and we’re back down to Femi, Priest, Evans, and Rhodes. ROYCE KEYS (F.K.A. POWERHOUSE HOBBS) IS #14! Keys delivers a running powerslam to Priest and eliminates him. Rhodes squares off with Keys, but Keys quickly drops him. Austin Theory is #15. Theory works over Evans in the corner as Femi and Keys double team Rhodes. Bronson Reed is #16. Reed heads up top and delivers a Tsunami to Evans. Ilja Dragunov is #17. Dragunov heads straight for Rhodes and tosses him onto the apron while Reed works over Femi in the corner. La Parka is #18. La Parka levels Dragunov but gets dropped by Keys. Dragon Lee is #19. Lee squares off with Dragunov and drops him with an inverted tilt-a-whirl DDT. Logan Paul is #20. Paul eats a World’s Strongest Slam from Keys, but Theory and Reed team up to eliminate Keys. Reed lifts La Parka onto his shoulders and dumps him to the outside. The Vision pick up Dragon Lee and toss him out onto La Parka for another elimination. LA Knight is #21. Reed splashes Knight in the corner, but Knight quickly recovers and eliminates Theory. Knight hits Reed with the BFT and follows up with a clothesline over the top rope for the elimination. Brock Lesnar is #22. German suplex to Rhodes! German suplex to Evans! F5 to Evans! Lesnar squares off with Femi! The Miz is #23. Miz slides into the ring, sees Lesnar and Femi, and slides right back to the outside. Lesnar delivers another volley of German suplexes before once again staring down Femi. Rey Fenix is #24. Lesnar delivers an F5 to Fenix and quickly eliminates him. Femi levels Lesnar with a clothesline! Femi tries to eliminate Paul, but Lesnar sneaks up behind him and eliminates Femi. Jey Uso is #25. Rhodes and Knight team up to eliminate Lesnar! Uso climbs into the ring and levels Miz with a super kick. Roman Reigns is #26. Reigns squares off with Uso and drops Uso with a right hand. Reigns levels Miz with a Superman Punch and then does the same to Paul. Spear to Miz! Reigns eliminates Miz and turns to square down Rhodes. Jacob Fatu is #27. Fatu pulls Rhodes out of the ring (without eliminating him) and whips him into the barricade. Fatu rolls Rhodes back into the ring and works him over in the corner. Fatu LAUNCHES Evans into the air and catches him with a Samoan Drop. Reigns and Uso team up to deliver a 1D to Rhodes. Penta is #28. Penta kicks Paul in the corner and lands a kick to Fatu as well. Penta catches Fatu with a back stabber as Knight catches Reigns with the BFT. Rhodes dumps Knight onto the apron and connects with a Disaster Kick over the top rope to eliminate Knight. Randy Orton is #29. Orton cleans house and hits Penta and Uso with a double rope-assisted DDT. RKO out of nowhere to Paul! RKO out of nowhere to Penta! Gunther is #30. Evans drops Orton with a kick to the jaw and goes for the OG Cutter, but Orton catches him with a mid-air RKO and then eliminates him. Penta hand stands in the corner, but Gunther shoves him to the floor for the elimination. Rhodes drags Gunther to his feet and holds him while Orton works him over. Rhodes goes for the Cody Cutter on Gunther, but Gunther slides out of the way, and Rhodes inadvertently connects with Reigns instead. Rhodes tumbles to the apron, and Drew McIntyre shows up out of nowhere and hits a Claymore to eliminate Rhodes. Reigns eliminates Fatu and Uso, and the final four are Reigns, Paul, Orton, and Gunther. Paul goes for a Buckshot Lariat to Reigns, but Reigns blocks and tosses Paul for the elimination. Gunther catches Orton by surprise and eliminates him. We’re down to Reigns and Gunther. Reigns dumps Gunther to the apron and goes for the Superman Punch, but Gunther blocks and charges back into the ring. Gunther locks in the sleeper, but Reigns breaks free and hits the spear. Reigns dumps Gunther to the outside to win the match.
