Hey kids! Steve Cook here with you for Worlds Collide! For the second time under this name, WWE & AAA combine to present a supershow of lucha libre & entretenimiento deportivo! I’m told that means “sports entertainment” in Spanish, and obviously Google would never lie. It’s a Friday night in Las Vegas, which usually ensures a good time!

If you’d like to chime in with your own thoughts on tonight’s show, feel free to join your fellow 411 Maniacs down in the comment section! As the legendary Larry Csonka always said: Have fun and don’t be a dick. When I’m not here you can catch me on the social media from time to time.

Then. Now. Forever. Together!

We open with a video package telling us that the business never rests, it wonders what’s next. Nice of HHH to get his “Are You Ready” in there.

Corey Graves welcomes us to Las Vegas. Paul Levesque, Shawn Michaels & Undertaker are shown WALKING. Penta is WALKING. Rey Mysterio pulls up in his car. Dominik Mysterio is WALKING. El Hijo del Vikingo is WALKING.

The dignitaries (Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio, Marsiela Pena & Dorian Roldan) are in the ring with the AAA banners for Antonio Pena & Joaquin Roldan. The Mexican National Anthem is performed, then Lilian Garcia performs the American National Anthem.

We hear from the Spanish announcers, then Penta makes his way to the ring!

We hear from the Spanish announcers, then Penta makes his way to the ring! Penta claps the microphone along to the crowd’s Cero Miedo chant. He asks how the crowd is doing and pumps them up. He talks about how they’re celebrating Mexican Independence Day this weekend and puts over the Mexican fans. They really need someone on commentary to translate like I’ve heard on New Japan’s English commentary in the past. Penta is interested to see the result of the Mega Championship match, as he’s never held that title. Penta hits the catchphrase and thanks the crowd.

Graves is joined by Konnan & JBL on English commentary. Konnan emphasizes that Penta wants a shot at the Mega Championship.

La Parka, Mascarita Sagrada, Laredo Kid & Octagon Jr. vs. Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, Lince Dorado & Mini Abismo Negro: Konnan says we’ll see the real Mascarita tonight and he’ll be the star of tonight’s show. Winner: Natalya (9:12 via pinfall)

The referee has to separate Nattie & Faby afterward, this issue might not be over.

The disapproving crowd noise in relation to WrestleMania 43’s location is something I don’t think will go away anytime soon. I think Vikingo got booed more while warming up backstage though.

Xavier tells us he had to have surgery on his head yesterday so he can’t compete. He still risked death to be here tonight!
