Jon Moxley is the winner of the 2025 AEW Continental Classic. The former AEW World Champion overcame a relentless Kazuchika Okada at AEW Worlds End to win the tournament for the first time in his career.

Throughout the match, Kazuchika Okada targeted Jon Moxley’s injured left leg, using the Dragon Screw and the Figure-Four Lock to his advantage. At one point in the match, Okada hit Moxley, who was languishing on the top turnbuckle, with a Drop Kick that led to the Death Riders leader further injuring his left leg, as it tangled in the ropes.

But Moxley continued to stay defiant, mounting comebacks at different stages of the matches with chops, headbutts, Figure Four Lock, and more.

Okada hit a low blow behind the referee’s back and then followed it up with a Rainmaker, but Moxley refused to stay down. Okada left the ring to bring the championship belt into play, but the match official snatched it from him. This allowed Moxley to hit a low blow on the defending champion while the referee was still busy handing over the title belt to the ring announcer.

The two then traded blows before Moxley nailed Paradigm Shift, but Okada kicked out. Moxley then locked in the Sleeper Hold, but Okada managed to escape it. Okada attempted a Rainmaker only to eat one of his own from the Ace of AEW. But Okada again kicked out. The former World Champion finally put the Japanese star away with a Stomp and a Death Rider to become the new Continental Champion. After the match, The Death Riders came out to celebrate their leader’s victory. Moxley then cut a passionate promo to close out what has been a memorable night for The Ace of AEW.

Earlier in the night, Jon Moxley defeated Kyle Fletcher via submission to earn a spot in the final.
