AJ Styles is retired from the ring but while he doesn’t know if it’ll happen, Karl Anderson could see him returning at some point. Styles officially retired on WWE Raw in February after his loss to Gunther at the Royal Rumble. He has said that he may one day return to have a match with his son, but has also shut down rumors he may end up in AEW at some point.

Anderson and Doc Gallows were guests on The Wrestling Classic, where the topic of Styles came up. Anderson said he’d like Styles to do something else, but noted that he doesn’t know if it will ever happen. You can see highlights from the two below (per Fightful):

Anderson On Styles Being Able to Still Go:

“It’s surprising because AJ can still do what we all do, but he can do it still at a super high level. I think it all kind of came as a surprise to us and maybe even to him. I don’t mean that in a weird way, its just maybe things came up and it’s just like, wow, I think I need to retire. It just kind of felt like it came out of nowhere because AJ can still go and sell out a Tokyo Dome, he can still go and do things that people wish they could do in this business.

“I’m glad WWE called us to have us induct him. I’m glad that we could be there for him, he’s been so good to us through all the years. He’s been a brother to us for over a decade now. To be able to punch that home in that part of our career and be able to be the ones to kind of end it that way there, it’s great. Do I think AJ could come back out and do something at AEW or something else? 100%. Will he? I don’t know. He should because he can.”

Gallows On Styles’ Physical Condition:

“We were wrestling his son and my son a couple of weeks ago and of course AJ is coming to the show because he’s a wrestler, he can’t get enough of it. He showed up late and I said to his wife Wendy, ‘Where’s AJ?’ She said, ‘Oh, he had to go tanning.’ Then he showed up more jacked than I’ve seen him in 10 years and I go, ‘Retired, huh? Cool.’”
