Karl Anderson Announced for Battle Riot Match at MLW Battle Riot VIII

Major League Wrestling announced today that former WWE Superstar “Machine Gun” Karl Anderson will be competing in the Battle Riot match at MLW Battle Riot VIII.

This will be Anderson’s first-ever Battle Riot. A globally renowned wrestling star, Karl Anderson has competed all across the world, and he’s held titles in WWE, TNA (formerly Impact Wrestling), and NJPW. With his Good Brothers tag team partner, Luke Gallows, he’s been a two-time Raw Tag Team Champion.

The Good Brothers have also held the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Titles on three separate occasions. Anderson also held the titles once with Giant Bernard. Additionally, Anderson is a former NEVER Openweight Champion in New Japan. In TNA, The Good Brothers were three-time World Tag Team Champions.

Winning the Battle Riot could hold the key for Karl Anderson to finally win a world heavyweight title that has eluded him for his entire career. The winner of the match receives a guaranteed future shot at the MLW World Title. Anderson’s tag team partner, Gallows, is also scheduled to compete in the Battle Riot bout.

The matchup will feature 40 competitors entering at 60-second intervals. It’s a match where it could easily turn into a chaotic RIOT. The upcoming MLW Battle Riot VIII event takes place on Thursday, January 29 at the Osceola Heritage Park Events Center in Kissimmee, Florida.

Tickets are now available for the event at MLWLive.com and Ticketmaster.
