Kenny Omega Says AEW Would Love to Use Kota Ibushi, Expects to See Him There in the ‘Near Future’

– As previously reported, newly signed AEW talent and EVP Kenny Omega spoke to The Wrestling Observer Radio and Dave Meltzer after the announcement. Below are some additional highlights from the interview, including Omega addressing his Golden Lovers tag team partner, Kota Ibushi, possibly appearing in AEW (transcript via WrestlingInc.com).
Omega on wanting to use Kota Ibushi in AEW: “Absolutely, by all means, we would love to use Kota. I wish he was here all the time, he would be the perfect roommate, if he liked America. I’m probably going to relocated to America, as well. He actually has a wrestling school now, yeah, he’s got a wrestling school in Japan. We’re going to be supportive of that, he has a couple commitments of that as of now. But again, door is wide open.”
Omega on when we might expect to see Ibushi in the promotion: “Without even saying anything, I would expect to see him here in the future. Not for Double or Nothing, or anything, but—I’ll say near future.”
