WWE Superstar Kevin Owens recently commented on a viral clip featuring veteran wrestler The Amazing Red that recently went viral. The video, posted on X by Vintage Puroresu, showcases a montage of various clips featuring some of Red’s stunning offense circa 2001.
Kevin Owens later shared his thoughts on the clip, noting the huge impact Red has had throughout the industry. Owens stated, “The impact that this dude had on many of the current crop of talent at the forefront of the industry is hard to measure.”
Owens continued on the former TNA X-Division Champion, “I vividly remember watching countless highlight reels of him in the early 2000s and talking about him with the guys I would train with every week when I got started.” He added that Red is a “Special talent.”
The 43-year-old Amazing Red is still active today and has recently been competing in House of Wrestling. At House of Glory x The Big Event Superclash, Red defeated former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Nic Nemeth in a singles bout on November 15.
A few days ago, at House of Glory Return to the Windy City, Red was in singles action once again, beating Tyler Breeze.
The Amazing Red / 2001. Some of the hardest stuff ever seen in the US. The mainstream wrestling wars were over, but the underground was about to reinvent the sport from the ashes. Not just an evolution of existing styles, but a whole new scene & philosophy. 🌟 pic.twitter.com/mb4gszd1Qg
