Killer Kross Says He’s Rooting for Matt Cardona in WWE, Thinks WWE Should Give Him a Live Microphone

During a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, former WWE Superstar and reigning MLW World Heavyweight Champion Killer Kross addressed Matt Cardona and how he’s been treated in WWE since his return. Helwani noted that he could “feel the frustration” in Cardona’s social media posts regarding his current WWE run.

Kross then made a pitch for how WWE should give Cardona a live microphone to tell his real story. Below are some highlights:

“Here’s two things I will put out there. He has a whole a whole history of the last six or seven years that is really, really fascinating that people can watch online. What he’s done that could be turned into a story that could be used for a documentary for him. And then also, this sounds crazy, but like if he were to win a title randomly at any time on a random Friday Night SmackDown, this whole weird stretch that he’s doing right now, people will completely forget about it. And now, you know, here’s Matt Cardona with a belt, whatever belt it is, right? But like, it’s I think there was something there. I honestly think there was something there that they could have done that they just didn’t do. And that’s, that’s of course wrestling in general. Well, there’s there was this whole redemption story of him coming back. And I still think it’s there. They still can do it. I almost don’t even want to say it out loud cuz they’re going to be like, ‘Well, if he said it, we can’t do it now.’ … Give him a live microphone and let him be himself and tell his real story and talk about how much he suffered for how much he loves this business. Let him let — like let the real thing be.”

Matt Cardona did wrestle twice on WWE SmackDown last month, losing to Ricky Saints on the May 8 episode and then to Sami Zayn on May 29. He scored a win over Nathan Frazer on the May 21 edition of WWE Main Event.
