AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander retained her coveted title against “Timeless” Toni Storm at AEW WrestleDream 2025.

The bout started on a fairly even note, with both competitors trading technical offense. After managing to gain some advantage over The Timeless One, the AEW Women’s World Champion squandered it when she missed an attempted knee strike. This allowed Storm to regain momentum by taking out Statlander with a Tiger Driver.

Storm then went on to hit the Hip Attack before proceeding to attempt Storm Zero, only to be blocked by Kris Statlander. The defending champion managed to deliver a 450 Splash, but the Auckland-born pro wrestler managed to kick out.

She finally managed to hit Kris with a Storm Zero, but the champion managed to kick out. She then nailed the Saturday Night Fever before applying a submission hold, only for Toni Storm to escape.

But the end was near for the former AEW Women’s World Champion, as Statlander nailed another Saturday Night Fever to retain her gold. Even though she was unsuccessful in dethroning Statlander at AEW WrestleDream 2025, Toni hugged the current champion after the match as a mark of respect.
