Various News: KUSHIDA Denies Wanting To Join Bullet Club, Free Match From Smash Wrestling, Anthem Hires New Company Staff

– We reported last week that the reason that KUSHIDA was leaving NJPW was due to creative differences. The report suggested that he wanted to turn heel and join the Bullet Club. However, he appeared on the NJPW podcast and said that this wasn’t true.

He said: “I think if you start shooting down rumors then it just never stops, but allow me this one: people actually said I wanted to join Bullet Club and couldn’t and that’s why I’m leaving. This isn’t even slightly true.

PWInsider reports that Impact Wrestling’s parent company Anthem Sports & Entertainment has hired two new employees in corporate sales who will work on getting sponsorships and ad deals for the promotion. Shelley West has been named Senior Vice President, Global Partnerships. She previously worked for IMG and campaigns for World Cup of Hockey, FIFA Women’s World Cup, and other events. Christopher Ledwith has also been hired but his official title wasn’t revealed. He previously worked as an ad executive for NBC Sports and has handled NASCAR, the Premiere League and other events in the past.
