Lance Storm stood out in the wild world that was ECW, and he recently looked back at his time there and how he was an “outlier.” Storm was part of ECW from 1997 to 2000 and held the company’s Tag Team Championships three times, once with Chris Candido and twice with Justin Credible. He moved on to WCW in 2000.

Storm was known for having a less over the top character than many in ECW, and he reflected on his personality both on-screen and in the locker room on Busted Open Radio. You can check out the highlights below (per Wrestling Inc):

On His Personality in ECW:

“Obviously, I was more of an outlier personality-wise… I think what I liked about ECW was: there were all kinds of different people with all kinds of vices, lifestyles, and habits, and they let you stay in your lane. They didn’t try to pressure you into their lane.”

On Enjoying His Time There:

“When we went to the ring, we did business and we believed in it, and it didn’t matter if I’m in there with Raven, or Sandman, or [Bully], or Taz, or Shane Douglas, or Chris Candido – it [was] time for work and we did it because we loved it. We had a creative investment in it, and then we’d leave, we’d all hug, we’d do everything else, and then you went and did whatever other things you wanted to do.”
