Latest On Classic Wrestling Revolution And Its Launch Delay

June 20, 2016 | Posted by Joseph Lee

PWInsider has updates on Classic Wrestling Revolution. Shane Douglas has been working with internet entrepreneur Bill Townsend. Jake Roberts said months ago that he was also involved.

A letter was recently sent to talent revealed that the launch was delayed 3-6 months for multiple reasons, including three funding partners dying. They haven’t received the sanctions they need due to new rules, created for CWR because they are “so new”. The letter also stated they are 48 days behind schedule for their venue, which is being built in the parking lot outside the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas.

CWR will use “augmented reality” and it needs “seats that could tie into our virtual and augmented reality fan experience.” The company also bought $36 million in technology for the company and claims that it “secured broadcast and cable distribution that reaches 1.3 billion people.” They have hired eight announcers, training staff and “world class” coaches but didn’t name any of them.
