WWE and Montez Ford are being sued by a police officer over an unwanted “lap dance” that was performed in front of him during a July episode of WWE Raw. POST Wrestling reports that Cook County Sheriff’s officer Noel Lucas filed suit against WWE and Ford in Circuit Court of Cook County on Wednesday.

Lucas says in the suit that he was working as off-duty security on the July 6th episode of Raw at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. When the Street Profits came down to the tring for a match, Ford danced toward him without warning or consent. This happened during the commercial break, and the video was posted online where it had hundreds of thousands of views.

Lucas says that the next day when he went to work, “members of the public recognized him from the videos of the encounter that had circulated on social media and mocked him, thrusting their hips in his direction, imitating the sexual movements” that Ford did. He alleged that his children have been “mocked and ridiculed” at school as well due to the video.

Lucas says that he has “suffered humiliation, embarrassment, and emotional distress” and continues to do so because the video remainns available. He alleges that WWE and Ford used his image for commercial purposes and he says that violates the Illinois Right of Publicity Act.

The filing notes:

“Defendant Crawford then began performing a sexually provocative dance immediately in front of and over Plaintiff [Lucas], repeatedly thrusting and gyrating his hips and pelvis towards Plaintiff, performing a sexualized ‘lap dance’… [and] moved his body increasingly closer to [Lucas]; continued the lap dance.” He claims that Ford’s “left inner thigh repeatedly rubbed against Plaintiff’s leg.”

Lucas has alleged 14 counts including assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and violations of the Illinois Gender Violence Act. He is asking the court to award him unspecified monetary damages, punitive damages, and his legal costs, as well as ordering that WWE and Crawford can’t use his identity. A hearing is set for December 10th.
