A surprising name is reportedly exiting the WWE ID program. Fightful Select reports that wrestler and former WWE ID Women’s Champion, Laynie Luck, will not have her ID contract renewed. Her deal is said to have expired earlier this week.
Luck is coming off a run as WWE ID Women’s Champion. She won the title last November and held the title for 320 days, dropping it a few days ago to Monica Monroe at Reality of Wrestling’s Rise to Wrestling Royalty. By virtue of her title win, Luck also earned a WWE ID contract.
Laynie Luck had 23 successful title defenses of the WWE ID Women’s Championship across the indie wrestling scene. Fightful notes that promoters Luck appeared for spoke highly of her willingness to wrestle any opponent and lead them through matches if need be.
Due to how WWE tapes the WWE Evolve series, Luck is still likely going to appear on the program in the coming months. Additionally, Fightful Select reports that signings from the most recent tryouts are still to be revealed later on.
