-Welcome back to 1994! I was doing as many NXT shows as possible until they were removed from Peacock. I know they are on YouTube as well, but I decided to fill in the missing shows from 94 since the WWF library is on Netflix. I have a way to watch the 94 WCW shows as well, so let’s finish this year out and then hit up 1995. That will give me 1989-1997 completed and then I can go back to NXT or jump to 1998. It’s also WrestleMania season (as I write this), so it feels fitting to do this show. I did a review many years ago when I first started with 411, but it’s long past due for another look.

-Nostalgic video package flashing back to Mania I and yes, they do include Hulk Hogan even if every knew he was heading to WCW at this point. Well, WCW was at least mentioning him by name on their TV at this point.
-Little Richard sings “America The Beautiful.” He has a choir join him and it’s pretty sweet. Take us to church Richard!
-Vince and Lawler welcome us to the show and explain the Double Title Match and how that works tonight.
-Todd recaps the issues between Bret and Owen dating back Survivor Series and Royal Rumble.
Owen Hart vs. Bret Hart
-Great fake out as the announcer says “from Calgary, Alberta, Canada” and the crowd pops, but it’s Owen and the crowd is annoyed. That was great! Now the pop for Bret Hart! I dig the look of this show with MSG and the black and gold color scheme with the sliding doors and entrance across from the hard cam. Bret gets a go behind and some riding time, so Owen scurries to the ropes and yells from the ref to back Bret up. Another go and Owen gets a go behind and take down, but Bret runs him to the ropes and ducks, which sends Owen to the floor. Owen charges back in and SLAPS the spit out of Bret’s mouth. Cool! Go to get the little brother hated as the dynamic is usually the crowd feels for the younger brother. Bret reversers a take down into a hammerlock as he is trying to keep this a wrestling match. Owen flips out and then pulls the hair to get a take down. He boots Bret in the face while he is down for good measure. Bret floats over in the corner and gets a roll-up for two and back to an arm-drag take down. Owen breaks with an elbow but gets caught with a monkey flip. A clothesline sends him to the floor. Bret chases and sends Owen back into the ring which makes sense as Bret has a match later and needs to end this one. They get into a shoving match and now Bret SLAPS Owen in the face and gets a roll-up for two. Owen escapes and shoves off but Bret gets a crucifix for a two count and then back to the arm. Owen shoves off again and after a leap frog catches Bret with a spinning heel kick. He stomps Bret until he falls out of the ring. Owen follows and runs Bret back first into the ring post. Cool! Back in the ring, Owen with a whip to the corner to continue the work on the back. Camel Clutch from Owen as the crowd tries to rally Bret. He responds by getting to his feet, but rushes into a belly-to-belly suplex for two. Bret reverses a whip, but Owen leaps off the middle ropes and gets a cross-body for two. Bret ends up on the floor, so Owen celebrates. Suplex back in, but Bret escapes. Owen counters with a perfect German Suplex into a bridge for two. Big “ohhh” from the crowd on that one. Bret blocks a suplex and gets a small package for two. Forearm to the jaw as Lawler wants Owen to use his fist. Owen just DRILLS Bret with a picture perfect Tombstone! Ehh, Taker isn’t on this show so someone needed to do it. Owen up top, but Bret rolls out of the way to leave both men down. Atomic Drop by Bret and a hard clothesline gets a two count. Shot to the gut followed by the Side Russian Leg Sweep, which also gets two. Backbreaker and Bret heads to the middle ropes and delivers the elbow for two. If only this grouping of moves had a name? Owen tries a kick, but Bret catches the leg, so Owen hits the enziguiri. Bret counters and goes for the Sharpshooter, but Owen escapes. Roll-up by Owen, but Bret kicks out and Owen heads to the floor. Bret follows with a sling shot dive, but hurts his knee on the landing. Owen immediately goes for the bad knee, which also gets the crowd booing him. Lawler: “Winning is everything.” Owen runs Bret’s bad knee into the post and repeats a couple times as a fan in the front row cheers him on. Owen mocks Bret’s limping back in the ring and hooks a submission move. “Let’s Go Bret,” chant from the crowd. Owen releases and goes to a Figure-Four. Bret nearly gets counted down twice, but gets his shoulders off the mat. Bret turns the hold, but Owen rolls as well and both men end up in the ropes to force a break. Owen goes back to the knee, but now Bret gets to break out an enziguiri. Owen’s looked better! Hard whip to the corner and Owen takes the Bret chest first bump in a cool touch. Bret drops a leg for two. See, not everyone can win with a leg drop. Bulldog gets two! PILEDRIVER but Bret is delayed making a cover because of his knee, so it only gets two. Bret takes Owen up and hits a superplex for the biggest pop the match. Bret rolls over for a two count. They are getting the fans into this by hard work. Bret continues to sell the knee and gets a sleeper. Owen gets to the ropes and waits until the ref can’t see and hits a mule kick to the balls. Fair! Sharpshooter from Owen! Bret is able to escape and counter to one of his own, but Owen immediately gets to the ropes. Whip to the corner but Bret gets a boot up and goes for a Victory Roll, but Owen drops his weight down and gets the MASSIVE UPSET at 20:21. The crowd is stunned and even Owen seems shocked.
Winner: Owen Hart via pin at 20:21
-Great match where everything was hit perfectly. My only issue is the crowd was rather subdued and I am not sure if it’s because they weren’t buying Owen as a serious threat. Now, him getting the win here made him a serious threat going forward and I think that’s why the rematch at SummerSlam had so much heat. It is still a fantastic match that flies by and makes me smile watching it. ****1/2
-Todd is backstage with Owen, who cuts his victory promo with spit coming out of his mouth. He isn’t taking anything away from Bret, but after that beating he doesn’t think Bret has a hope in hell of winning any kind of World Title match.
-WrestleMania Moment: WrestleMania II: Celebrities and Andre wins a Battle Royal.
-Sy Sperling is introduced to bring out The Fink, who has hair. It looks weird!
Mixed Tag Match: Bam Bam Bigelow and Luna Vachon vs. Doink The Clown and Dink The Clown
-Bigelow and Doink start and Bammer runs him over with a series of shoulder tackles. Doink ducks a clothesline, but Bammer hits a dropkick. He misses a Senton Back Splash. Doink with a whip to the corner and he goes to work on the arm. Bigelow goes to the eyes and lands an elbow, but misses a second one. Dink gets the tag and by the rules of the match, Luna has to tag. We get some comedy spots and Dink slaps her ass. Lawler works in his shorts jokes. Luna misses on the ropes and Dink drops an elbow for two. He runs circles around Luna, so she just waits and kicks him in the chest. Elbow misses and Dink knocks her down. He heads up but Luna moves and Dink flops around the ring. Luna with a slam and she heads up top. She misses and Dink makes the tag to Doink, which brings Bigelow back into the match. Clothesline sends Doink to the floor. Dink in and Bigelow dives at him, but misses. Luna does the same. Doink back in and tries a sunset flip, but Bigelow drops South to squash him. Doink gets a boot up to block a charge and hits a SWANK single arm DDT. Whoopie Cushion misses though! Bigelow with a clothesline and another. Dink gets knocked off the apron by Bigelow. Doink eats a suplex and Bigelow heads up top. He hits the head butt and this is over at 6:09.
Winners: Bam Bam Bigelow and Luna Vachon via pin at 6:09
-Bigelow just SQUASHED Doink here. The stuff with Luna and Dink was brief so the crowd didn’t really care to get into this one. The Mania journey for Bigelow from one year to the next next has to be the craziest ever: mixed tag with a clown and a little person one year and Main Event with Lawrence Taylor the next year. *
-Dink confronts Bigelow after the match. Luna boots him down and Bigelow goes for a splash, but Dink rolls away, though Luna does land on him. Doink protects Dink from any beating as this was all kinds of sloppy and the crowd is rather bored. They should have paid homage to Mania III and let Bigelow SQUASH Dink like Bundy did.
-The fake Bill Clinton is here and is sitting with IRS and Ted Dibiase. What was the point of this again? I mean, besides it being something Vince finds funny.
-WrestleMania III Flashback: BIGGEST CROWD EVER! HOGAN VS ANDRE!
Falls Count Anywhere: “Macho Man” Randy Savage. Vs. Crush (w/ Mr. Fuji)
-This was a hot feud as Crush turned on Savage months ago in a memorable angle on RAW and Savage is out for blood. As noted a fall can happen anywhere, but you have 60 seconds to get back to the ring or the match is over. Savage rushes out to fight Crush in the aisle. Crush presses Savage above his head and drops him throat first on the railing. That gets Crush the fall at 45 seconds. Savage has 60 seconds to get back into the ring. Weird rule! Savage is nearly back to the ring, but Fuji decks him. Savage is able to get to his feet and crawl back into the ring with two seconds to go. Back in the ring, Crush hooks Savage in the Tree of Woe and pounds away. Crush gets salt from Fuji, but Savage sends it back into Crush’s face. Savage off the top with a double ax and he heads up top again. Flying elbow hits but no cover because these rules are weird. Savage has to remember to boot Crush to the floor and now gets the pin at 4:45. Fuji yells and slaps Crush to get him moving. No dice so he grabs a picture of water and dumps it on Crush’s face. He beats the count with two seconds to go. Savage charges and takes his last big time Mania bump over the top to the floor. They fight out there and Savage blocks being sent into the post. Crush eats the post and then the steps as Lawler questions if this is all legal. Clothesline sends Crush over the railing into the crowd. Crush fights back and goes for a piledriver, but Savage backdrops out. He runs Crush head first into a wall and fires him through double doors. One more door and Savage gets a three count at 8:11. Savage gets creative and uses a nearby rope to tie Crush by his foot and uses a pulley system to hang him upside down. The crowd pops as it is very creative. A for effort, but Savage’s knot making skills aren’t the best. No matter as Crush is too far away and is counted out at 9:43.
Winner: Randy Savage via pin at 9:43
-Good moment for Savage with the crowd, but not the ideal Mania match for him to go out on. Sadly, he never made it back to WWE to get one more Mania moment. The rules of the match were weird but whatever. I credit them for keeping this as a brawl and finding a creative ending. **1/4
-Todd interviews the fake Bill Clinton and they make jokes about Bill’s IRS issues.

-Savage is celebrating with the fans in The Paramount Theater.
-WrestleMania IV: Randy Savage wins 4 matches in one night to become WWF Champion.
WWF Women’s Championship: Alundra Blayze vs. Leilani Kai
-Alundra with a leg sweep to start. Kai runs Alundra over, but gets caught with a sunset flip in the corner. Alundra avoids a backdrop and gets another sunset flip for two. Kai lifts Blayze off the mat with a choke and slams her down. Another slam gets two. Alundra with a rana for two, but can’t take advantage. Kai sends her over the top to the floor. Back in the ring she throws Alundra around the ring by her hair. Suplex gets a two count. Blayze ducks a clothesline and hits one of her own. Spinning kick from Madusa followed by a snap suplex for two. She snaps Leilani around the ring and gets a two count. Bridging German Suplex gets the pin at 3:24.
Winner and Still WWF Women’s Champion: Alundra Blayze via pin at 3:24
-As usual, the women weren’t given a lot of time in this era, but at least they were on the card after a decade of not being there. I wish they had someone better for Blayze at this time. *
-WrestleMania V: Roddy Piper bullies Brother Love and Morton Downey Jr.
WWF Tag Team Championship: The Quebecers (c) (w/ Johnny Polo) vs. Men on a Mission (w/ Oscar)
-We cut backstage during Oscar’s rap and Burt Reynolds steals Rhonda Shear (USA Up All Night) away from Shawn Michaels. Yeah, Shawn had no chance there! Marc Summers would have stood a better chance. Someone will get that reference! Quebecers jump MOM before the match and clear Mo from the ring. They try to take out Mable but he runs both over with a clothesline. We settle to Mo and Pierre. Mo with a leaping clothesline for two. Mabel in and he just wrecks Pierre to get the crowd oohing. Mo back in and The Quebecers cheat to gain the advantage. Pierre chokes with the tag rope in the corner while Jacques has the ref with Mabel. Jacques backdrops Pierre onto Mo for a two count. Mo sent to the floor and Jaques backdrops Pierre OVER THE TOP AND ONTO MO on the floor. That was sweet! More awesome double team offense as they hit a double team stung gun. Mo ducks a clothesline and hits a standing cannon ball. He makes the tag, but the ref missed it. Classic tag wrestling! Jacques back in, but misses a leg drop from the top rope. Hot Tag to Mabel and he just runs down both Quebecers with clotheslines. Backdrop to Pierre and a Black Hole Slam to Jacques. He misses a splash in the corner and The Quebecers try a double suplex. First time fails but they regroup and pull it off to a solid pop. Quebecer Crash (Assisted Senton from the top) gets two! Pierre tries to slug it out with Mabel and that won’t work. Jacques in and accidentally gets hit by his partner. Mabel hits a spinning heel kick on Pierrer and clothesline on Jacques. Mo off the top to push Mabel onto Jacques. Pierre tries to make the save, but splashes his partner. Pierre gets squashed on the floor and we have a count-out at 7:45. Boo!
Winners: Men on a Mission via count-out at 7:45
-I was enjoying this match until the dumb ending. The Quebecers brought their sweet tandem offense and MOM had Mabel SQUASHING people. This match is better than you remember and deserved a better finish. **1/4
-WrestleMania VI: The Ultimate Warrior beats Hulk Hogan.
-Donnie Wahlberg (ring announcer) and Rhonda Shear (timekeeper) are the celebrities for this match.
WWF Championship: Yokozuna (c) (w/ Jim Cornette and Mr. Fuji) vs. Lex Luger
-Mr. Perfect is back as the special guest ref for the match. The New York crowd boos Donnie out of the building, so he makes his announcements quick. Stalling to start as Yoko goes through his routine in the corner and gets some last minute words from Fuji. Yoko talks trash and points a finger at Luger’s chest. Luger responds with right hands and hits a clothesline. He goes for another, but Yoko drops him with a clothesline. He misses an elbow drop and Luger lands a right hand that sends Yoko through the ropes and to the floor. Lex off the apron with a double axe. He then rams Yoko’s head off the stairs before sending him back in the ring. Lex off the top with a cross-body for two. Elbow from Luger gets another two count. Yoko fires back with a thrust to the throat and chokes Luger on the ropes. Yoko misses a roundhouse and Lex goes for a slam, but not this time as Yoko falls back for a two count. Yoko takes the cover off the buckle as Cornette distracts Perfect. Luger back with shoulders and right hands, but one punch from Yoko kills that rally. Nerve hold which is my least favorite rest hold. Yoko throws some punches to break up the nerve hold, but keeps going back to it. For the record I am timing this and we are over two minutes of Luger laying on the ground while Yoko massages his neck and shoulder. Luger fights to his feet as the crowd kind of rallies him. The hold is broken, but Lex runs into a shot to the ribs. Kick from Yoko and then he threatens to deck Perfect. Yoko with chop after chop to the neck and back to the nerve hold. Joy! I know the big man has two matches tonight (sorry, SPOILER), but geez. This nerve hold goes on for about 90 seconds before Luger gets tossed to the floor. Lex ends up bumping into the guard rail for some reason. Then back to the nerve hold, but thankfully, Lex gets out of this one rather quickly. Scratch that as a Yoko chop drops Lex and back to the nerve hold. There is a “boring” chant forming from The Garden crowd. Maybe the idea was to have a bad match, so Bret looked all the better by the end of the night. Double Nerve Hold from Yoko as Luger gets back to his feet. He breaks the hold with elbows but runs into a belly-to-belly suplex. Lex is getting smoked here! Yoko ends up getting run head first into the exposed buckle and he is finally off his feet. USA chant from the crowd. Luger with a clothesline and another and another. That gets Yoko off his feet and Lex gets the body slam and it doesn’t get the reactions you would expect. Loaded forearm knocks Yoko out. Lex goes after Cornette and Fuji. He covers, but Perfect is more worried about getting Cornette out of the ring. The crowd is pissed as the spot with the ref gets the biggest reaction in the match. Luger tries to get Perfect’s attention, but Perfect goes to get Fuji out and Lex puts his hands on Perfect again, so it’s a DQ at 14:40.
Winner and Still WWF Champion: Yokozuna via DQ at 14:40
-Loud bullshit chant from the crowd. Vince likely thinks that’s money, but it’s a ticked crowd who sat through 7 minutes of nerve holds for that finish. This was awful with an awful finish and for some reason gets forgotten about when it comes to worst WWF Title Match in Mania history. DUD
-Officials have to separate Luger and Perfect in the back. We never got a pay off to that either as Perfect wouldn’t work a match until he showed up in WCW in 1997.
-WrestleMania VII: The Blindfold Match!
Adam Bomb (w/ Harvey Wippleman) vs. Earthquake
-Wippleman wants to beat up Fink and that brings out Bomb. He goes after Fink, but Earthquake saves. Powerslam and Earthquake Splash finish at 34 seconds.
Winner: Earthquake via pin at 34 seconds
-I guess they wanted something quick to pop the crowd and bring them up from how that last match ended. SQUASH
-Todd is backstage waiting for Yokozuna. Yoko and company show up and Cornette does the talking (as expected). He brings up Bret having a bad knee and having to live with the fact that he lost to his brother heading into the match later with Yoko.
-WrestleMania VIII: The Undertaker sends Jake Roberts packing to WCW.
WWF Intercontinental Championship: Ladder Match: Razor Ramon (c) vs. Shawn Michaels (w/ Diesel)
-Shawn was IC Champ and failed a drug test (which he denies). He was pissed and wouldn’t send the IC Title back. A new belt was made and Razor beats Rick Martel to win the vacated Championship. Shawn is back with his copy of the belt and they decide to hang both above the ring and give us the ladder match for the first time on a big stage. Vince explains the winner is the first to retrieve the belt and that the ladder can used as a weapon. Shawn gets a leg trip and tries a hiptoss, but Razor blocks. Shawn goes to the eyes and flips over, but Razor hits him with a clean choke slam. Shawn ducks a right hand and gets a reverse neckbreaker. Shoulder tackle from Razor, but he tries a second one and Shawn side steps and sends him to the floor. Diesel stalks his future best friend and OUTSIDERS EXPLODE as he runs him down with a clothesline. The ref didn’t see anything as pointed out by Diesel, but it’s Hebnar and he is drunk on power and sends Diesel to the back. The delay did wonders for Razor as he lands a right hand and Shawn starts BUMPING all over the place. Clothesline sends him to the floor and Shawn flips once he hits out there for good measure. Razor exposes the concrete on the floor, but Shawn stops that and sends the match back into the ring. Razor ends up screwing himself as he goes for The Razor’s Edge, but Shawn backdrops out and Razor hits the exposed concrete. That’s a nice little spot there. With Razor out, Shawn heads up the aisle and gets his hands on the ladder first. Razor greets him with a right hand and goes for the ladder. We get the cool spot where Shawn baseball slides the ladder into Razor’s gut and the reaction is awesome. Razor’s head gets bounced off the steps and Shawn goes back to the ladder. He brings it into the ring and another gut shot to Razor. Shawn rams the ladder into’s Razor’s stomach again and then just throws it down across his back. Cool! Another shot as he just tosses it across the ring and hits Razor in the back. That had to suck! Shawn starts to climb as the crowd freaks out. Razor stops Shawn and pulls his pants down, so we have a full moon in MSG. The man did idolize Ric Flair! Shawn shakes it off and drops an elbow from the ladder and then covers his ass. In an iconic moment, Shawn comes off the top of the ladder with a splash. They played that highlight in video packages for years. Shawn makes the climb again, but Razor tips the ladder over and Shawn BOUNCES like a super ball off the top rope. The reaction from the crowd to each bump is something else. Both men end up colliding as they crack heads and both are out. We get the above ring camera to see the belts swinging back and forth while both men are laying on the mat. Shawn is the first to move and sets the ladder up in the corner. Vince is worried Shawn is going to use the ladder as “an offensive weapon.” Razor reverses the whip to the corner and Shawn takes a bump off the ladder and over the ropes to the floor. Razor follows with ladder in hand and runs it into Shawn’s back. Catapult into the ladder and Shawn makes sure to stick on the ladder and fall backwards with it. The man is dedicated! Back in the ring, Razor swings the ladder like an uppercut and Shawn goes flying over the top rope. Razor looks to climb, but Shawn dives off the top to stop that attempt. In a cool unplanned touch, the ladder falls over and lands on Shawn. They climb at the same time on different sides and the crowd is loving all the drama and suspense in this one. Razor SLAMS SHAWN OFF THE LADDER, but the ladder buckles and Razor spills to the canvas as well. They have both stated that was the only ladder they had and if it broke they were kind of screwed. Razor climbs as the ladder is clearly bent, but Shawn with a dropkick to cut that run off. Shawn just casually tips the ladder over and it lands on Razor. Superkick from Shawn, but it wasn’t over as a finisher for him yet, so the reaction is subdued. Shawn teases a Razor’s Edge, but just hits a sweet piledriver! Another famous spot as Shawn climbs to the top rope and rides the ladder down onto Razor. That gets a big round of applause from people in the first few rows. Shawn puts the ladder over Razor and makes another climb to the top. He gets his fingers on the title, but Razor is up and shoulders the ladder. Shawn falls off and lands balls first on the top rope and gets his foot caught in the ropes. That’s a rather genius finish as the race is on between Razor climbing and Shawn freeing himself. Razor wins the race and retrieves the two belts at 18:48.
Winner and (Still) Undisputed WWF Intercontinental Champion: Razor Ramon via pin at 18:48
-Revolutionary match filled with drama and a crowd that is freaking out over what they are seeing. Yes, what they did is tame compared to what we see in ladder matches now, but this is still a flawless classic. I loved how they tied everything together and things just flowed so well. The ending of a desperate Shawn being trapped in the ropes was fantastic as it gave Razor a chance to sell the beating in his climb, but not make Shawn looking dumb for just laying there. *****
-IRS, The Headshrinkers, Jeff Jarrett and Rick Martel are arguing backstage about who will be team captain. The 10 Man Tag is cancelled because of it. Word is that Razor and Shawn went long and thus the 10 man was cancelled.
-WrestleMania IX: Yokozuna beats Bret Hart for the WWF Title. No mention of Hogan cashing in?
-Bret Hart video package that transitions into one of Yokozuna destroying people. They even spliced in some footage of the earlier match with Luger.
-Burt Reynolds (Ring Announcer) and Jennie Garth (Timekeeper) are our celebrities for the next match. I had (and still do actually) the biggest crush on Jennie Garth. I mean, it’s KELLY TAYLOR and she looks amazing here! I am so glad my mom was cool with me watching 90210 in 5th grade.
WWF Championship: Yokozuna (c) (w/ Jim Cornette and Mr. Fuji) vs. Bret Hart
-Roddy Piper is announced as the special ref for this one and the last we saw him at Mania, he was losing the IC Title to Bret Hart. I can see what they were going for with Perfect screwing Lex earlier as it makes you think Piper could do the same here. Unlike Perfect, Piper’s not sporting zebra stripes for his ref’s outfit. Yoko attacks before the bell as Bret hobbles to the ring, selling the earlier match with Owen. This is only the second rematch in WrestleMania history to this point with Andre/Hogan being the other one. We’ve had many more since. Yoko with a slam. Bret blocks a punch and throws three of his own. Dropkick, but a second one misses. Piper gets into a shouting match with Yoko as he tells him he has a five count. Cornette on the apron and Piper nearly decks him. Yoko misses a splash and Piper starts a 10 count on both men. Bret with a headbutt that knocks him down and eventually causes Yoko to fall on his ass. Yoko throws a kick from his back, but Bret rams his head off the mat. Yoko goes to the eyes as Piper yells at him. I know Piper has a job to do as the ref, but it’s funny having him yell at someone going to the eyes when Piper famously does a Three Stooges’ eye poke. Bret hammers Yoko down and gets a two count as Cornette pulls Piper to the floor. Well, that was dumb and sure enough, Piper decks Cornette. Ever the pro, Jim sells it like he was hit by a truck. Yoko with a headbutt and the camera angle was not great as it showed he was nowhere close. Yoko goes to a straight choke and Piper gives him to five. Yoko drops the leg that sent Hogan packing but no cover. He yells for Bret to get up and Lawler thinks that is a mistake. The crowd starts chanting for Bret, so Yoko throws him over the top and to the floor. Piper with a quick count but thankfully it’s loud enough for Bret to adjust. Yoko bites in the corner and fires off chops. Whip to the corner, but the back splash misses. Bret off the middle rope with a bulldog but Yoko is out at two. The crowd was buying that one. Bret off the middle ropes with an elbow for two. Sling Blade Clothesline gets two! Both men are doing a great job selling being exhausted. Bret off the ropes again, but Yoko catches him and hits a belly-to-belly suplex. Again, no cover! Instead he sets for the Banzai Drop, but falls off the backwards and Bret rolls over for the cover at 10:38.

-I was never a fan of that finish as Yoko basically slipped on a banana peel. I think I liked the WrestleMania IX match more. That may be unfair as both men had to sell the effects of earlier matches in this one. They are in the same neighborhood though and I would probably change my opinion if I went back and watched Mania IX again. **1/4
-Bret gets the huge celebration with Patterson, Monsoon, Razor, Tatanka, Luger, Kid, Holly, Savage and the celebrities the ring. Vince screams about it being a new generation and how it will set the WWF up for the next decade. Vince even gets in the ring as Owen Hart watches with a disgusted look on his face from the aisle. Wonderful booking!
