Lilian Garcia Reflects On WWE Raw Appearance 27 Years After Post-SummerSlam Debut

Lilian Garcia took to social media to comment on the “full circle” moment of appearing on WWE Raw 27 years after her post-SummerSlam WWE debut. Garcia posted to Instagram on Monday to share a photo of her making her WWE debut on the August 23, 1999 episode of WWE Raw in Ames, Iowa, which took place after that year’s WWE SummerSlam.
Garcia served as ring announcer on tonight’s show, which took place in Des Moines, Iowa. She wrote in the caption to the post:
“Pretty incredible to believe that my very first day on the job @wwe was in Iowa on Monday Night Raw the day after Summerslam!!
It was the beginning of an incredible journey that I wasn’t aware was going to impact me forever.
That’s why getting to announce tonight on Monday Night Raw, the day after SummerSlam, in Iowa, 27 years after my debut, feels very crazy to me!!
Thank you WWE Universe for still embracing me and I’ll see you tonight on RAW!!”
Lilian Garcia returned to WWE in October of 2024 as a regular performer after an eight-year hiatus. She made sporadic one-off appearances during her time away.
