Liv Morgan Returns, Helps Dominik Mysterio Regain IC Title From John Cena at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025

WWE has a new Intercontinental Champion. Dominik Mysterio regained the title tonight, beating none other than John Cena in the second-to-last match of his career. However, he didn’t do it alone. Liv Morgan made her shocking WWE return, helping her “Daddy,” Dominik Mysterio, beat Cena and pull off the biggest win of his career.

Dominik made a heck of an entrance, escorted by The Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, wearing a luchador mask. John Cena entered, sporting the colors of the San Diego Padres.

At one point, Dominik feigned injury, prompting Rodriguez and Perez to interfere and hit him with Pop Rocks and the Tejano bomb. However, the referee refused to count the pin after a Frog Splash due to Dominik’s antics.

Later, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh interfered, attempting to help Dominik, but to no avail. Cena retaliated by taking out both Judgment Day members with a Double Attitude Adjustment. However, “Dirty” Dom still had one more ace left up his sleeve.

Liv Morgan’s music started playing, and she bolted to the ring. However, she shockingly struck her “Daddy” Dom. Then she glommed onto Cena like a koala. Was the former Women’s World Champion turning over a new leaf?

The answer was no. Morgan then hit Cena with a low-blow, bringing her plan to light. With Cena vulnerable, Dominik hit yet another Frog Splash, giving him the title and the biggest win of his WWE career.

Dominik now ends the first and now only Intercontinental Title reign of Cena’s illustrious career at 19 days. This also marks Cena’s final WWE premium live event match and appearance.

After the reunited Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan celebrated and left the ringside area, fans still gave the valiant Cena a huge ovation. Cena then interacted with some young fans, soaking up the emotions and adulation of his final WWE PLE appearance.

Cena ultimately walked out of Petco Park to a standing ovation, returning the love to the fans, and stood tall, with his head up high. The WWE’s Greatest of All Time now only has one more WWE match and appearance remaining.

Cena’s last match takes place on December 13 at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, DC, at the Capital One Arena. He will face the winner of The Last Time Is Now Tournament, which is currently still ongoing.
