Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez have secured a championship shot after winning a chaotic number one contender’s match on WWE RAW tonight. Their victory sets up a title challenge against current Women’s Tag Team Champions Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 24.
After an initial in-ring promo, the opening match featured three teams. Morgan and Perez defeated The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane), as well as Lyra Valkyria and Bayley. The finish came when Liv Morgan hit the Oblivion on Sane.
Ripley and SKY captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the January 5 episode of RAW, defeating the Kabuki Warriors. Morgan and Perez now step into that picture as new threats.
Saturday Night’s Main Event airs in prime time on NBC, giving the match a bigger spotlight. With WWE Royal Rumble approaching, the outcome could influence several storylines. If Morgan and Perez continue their rise, the women’s tag division may be headed for another quick shift at the top.
