LSG Reveals Details on Virtual Basement Wrestling Game
– It was previously reported earlier this year that Virtual Basement was developing a next-gen wrestling video game that’s said to be similar to the 2K Series. Unlike the Fire Pro or RetroMania games, it won’t feature throwback, pixel-style graphics or old-school gameplay mechanics. Fightful Select reported some new details on the upcoming title after speaking to Leon St. Giovanni (LSG).
It was reported last May that a number of wrestlers not under WWE or AEW contract had already signed on to appear in the upcoming title. The listed includes Ken Shamrock, nZo, Matt Taven, Brian Pillman Jr, Alex Riley, JTG, Matt Sydal/Evan Bourne, Jonathan Gresham, Kenny King, Shad Gaspard, Brian Cage, Bull Dempsey, Caprice Coleman, Shaheem Ali, Su Yung, Cheeseburger, Ivelisse, Kylie Rae, Killer Kelly, Rich Swann, Kongo Kong, LSG, O’Shay Edwards, Fallah Bahh, and others.
According to LSG, he and his former Coast 2 Coast tag team partner Shaheem Ali were the first signings for the upcoming game. Ali had his eye on the since since he’s apparently a major gamer. LSG said he’s been impressed with the game’s visuals and how he’s been recreated in the digital format. Also, LSG reportedly helped recruit other wrestlers for the game.
