WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker has been prominently involved in the creative aspect of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide in recent months.
Recently, during a Q&A session on PWInsider, a fan asked Mike Johnson about the reason behind The Phenom’s involvement with AAA.
Johnson replied that one of the major reasons behind The Undertaker’s involvement is that WWE wants to turn AAA into something that appeals to the WWE Universe, adding that The Deadman is well aware of what works with the WWE audience.
The Undertaker currently serves as a brand ambassador and a writer for the Mexican promotion. The company was bought by World Wrestling Entertainment earlier this year, and the acquisition was announced at WrestleMania 41 Night One.
A few months ago, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H hailed The Deadman as “one of the big driving forces behind AAA.” The Phenom was pretty hands-on for AAA TripleMania XXXIII, which took place on August 16.
What a ride it’s been with @ShawnMichaels & @TripleH…and it’s far from over. Looking forward tonight! #TripleMania https://t.co/xC2rxtKzy8 pic.twitter.com/OlJkuwaoUS
